Really big and important question : can 5 or 6 be modded to not have stupid, tiny, offset split screen coop?
Failing that, there's no crossplat play is there?
RE5 PC does not have splitscreen coop.

RE5 PC does not have splitscreen coop.
Doubt it, just play superior online co-op.
OT: does Revelations 2 have online co-op?
Though you can still mod splitscreen into RE5
Why is the best resident evil aka code veronica not on steam?
Only the GFWL version (which you can still get on Steam by opting into it on the betas tab).
Bleh well I know they are plentiful, just the feeling of knowing there a limited amount bugs me through heh. Does difficultly affect the number of them (not that I wouldn't go on very easy heh).
I'm here to give a more negative opinion on the Revelation games. Which to me are some of the weakest RE games in recent memory that have a bigger impact on the overall lore. Mainly since both of the games try to blend being both horror & action and fail at both imo. I find it as a case of trying to please everyone and in the end pleasing nobody (Though of course there are people here who like them).
Now even with me saying that they're still worth playing. But just want people to keep expectations in check. Unless you're real particular on what RE has to be, most aren't going to play these games and go "The BEST RE's i've ever played". They're decent games, that to me get a bit exaggerated in their quality. If you have been keeping with the series they are worth playing. But I would not recommend them on their own. Since a lot of the entertainment to them are the stories and characters from games prior.
Also keep in mind their origins. Revelations 1 is a up-port of a 3DS game, while Revelations 2 is a budget release and it shows.
Much of the praise for Revelations 2, from my experience, stems from it being a direct answer to some of RE6's failings. (Some of these aspects are in Revelations 1)
Pros
- There's a box where you can store, equip, and customize weapons (of which there are multiple types of each, although admittedly there always isn't a huge difference in practical use)
- Weapons are assignable (hotkey'd) to the D-pad buttons, so you can quickly switch between them in the heat of combat with little hassle
- The skill system feels *slightly* more tangible than the one in RE6. You can add character abilities as well as upgrade them to become more effective.
- The story doesn't take itself seriously. After the travesty that was RE6, this is welcome even if it doesn't really wow you in any sense.
- Combat is slower-paced, but gunshots (and I'm going off memory) have more "weight" than they did in RE6. Not as much as RE5, and your mobility lies somewhere in-between the two games.
- Level design is closer to older RE's, with more wide-open spaces and exploration for items/gear.
- Challenge. Revelations 2 on hard takes item management and care. RE6 on hard is a fucking joke, since items are absurdly plentiful.
- Revelations 2 doesn't have that stupid lose-health knockdown shit IIRC.
Cons
- Your partner character isn't almost immortal like in RE6, nor can they (Miora and Natalia) utilize your guns.
- There's a lot of switching between partner characters. Also opening doors is jarring since it's this strange canned animation and takes some getting used to.
- Combat is more simplistic than RE. There are no advanced melee maneuvers barring a few "follow-up" attacks requiring both characters. Enemies don't transform the same way either for the most part, and their AI doesn't seem as advanced.
- Graphics. RE6 did have some great looking zombies, but the other monsters looked... silly.

You didn't give any real examples. I want to know what you think since I know we both like RE5 and RE6 a lot, so it's interesting I like Rev 2 but you're meh about it.
Rev 1 is just "okay" for me. Rev 2 was a vast improvement for me.
No online.
Wait til Resident Evil 7: Biohazard gets released

Gonna be picking up RE:0. Still to this day my favourite horror game. A friend gave it to me for my 11th birthday and it took me almost a full year to beat because of how scared I would get haha. So atmospheric... can't wait to play it again!![]()
Are either of the Revelations games worth playing?
