Xbox Store Countdown to 2017 Sale Thread - includes daily and weekly offers

Does anyone think that Steep discount is worth it? The other game I'm deciding between is DBZ X2 (I know how different these two are lol).

I don't know enough about Steep, plus I feel like it'll get an even steeper
sorry
discount soon enough. But I do want a legit current gen snowboarding joint.

So disappointed about that Xenoverse 2 price. Maybe I'll just get the first one then

This sale has been crap, only bought Red Dead Redemption so far

I fucking hate when all these complete or gold editions go on sale but the season pass doesn't. Been waiting to grab the Sunset Overdrive one forever.

Just get GOTY edition, only problem is you will lose your save file I think.

How does it compare to the previous game? (Watchdogs)

The best part of the first game, to me, was the gunplay. Hacking is vastly improved, AI is improved, mission design is better (imo), characters are insanely more likeable than Aiden, driving is way better, side missions are actually pretty great, etc.

The gunplay (of 2) was addressed in a patch recently, which was a lot of peoples complaints with it. Beat it before that patch, so I'm not sure it's a marked improvement, though it was totally fine with me to begin with.

This has been the trend for the most part this gen. Either you get the GOTY/GOLD edition on sale or you buy the DLC piecemeal. Although to be fair Bethesda has not been shy about putting their season passes on sale.

Diablo III: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition. Finally. I have been wanting a digital version forever. It was still 59.99 as of last week, IIRC.

DOOM is $35.99 with Gold.. wasn't it like $20 on Black Friday?

Rocket League is $13.99 with Gold.

Edit I can't read.

DOOM is $30 with Gold, Rocket League is $11.99.

Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration is $35 w/ Gold.

Yes Doom was 18,99 during the Black Friday sale.

Welcome beautful toddler, Madison Elizabeth, to the horde!
I'd love to see State of Decay go up for sale. I have over $100 to blow but I want to maximize it of course. Got some Gamestop gift cards and it's cheaper to just get the disc version for FF15 and Dishonored 2 so I'm getting them later on today.

Got my wish

At work, just got Mad Max, Diablo 3 and State of Decay, all for less than $45, not bad.

Isn't it about time MS stop being lazy by applying one percentage off across all marketplaces and adjust it for different regions like Sony does with the UK and the US.

It's utter nonsense when Steep has a set price of £55, discounted brings it down to £38 (which you could pay at launch for physical) and now can be bought physically for £25.

Does MS set the sale price for digital items (Non-MS titles)? Or do they need approval from the publisher?

I don't know if the publishers 'sell' license keys to MS to sell on their site and so MS can take a bath on unsold keys.. or how that works.

Pretty rough honestly. Screen tearing is prevalent and the textures are shoddy. I have several friends that only play on Xbox though so I make due.

Aw man, probably gonna pass then. Hopefully the devs can spend some more time on optimizations rather than pumping out xpacs. :p Thanks for the response!

Publishers set the sale price but MS seem to have a easy worldwide strategy on sales while Sony must have multiple teams to negotiate sales in different regions.

Now I just need Forza Horizon 3 (got the demo last night, what a gorgeous-looking and fun game that is) and Ori and my backlog will be complete for the next year.

:xb1: Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege Year 2 Gold Edition - $47.99 - 40% off - $55.99 - 30% off

For some reason this was only $41.99 + tax on the Canadian store. So, $6 cheaper and a better exchange rate for Americans.
