AMAZON US Switch up

Pre-ordered console + Zelda. There's a 50/50 chance I actually keep the pre-order. I was sold before the press conference, but the utter lack of compelling games really tempered my hype.

Absolutely useless. I never got an email, so missed my chance to preorder.

It's a pretty shitty practice, you're actively preventing other people from preordering. How about preorder from an outlet you trust and leave it at that?

Because retailers both B&M and online overcompensate for the actual stock theyre going to have. If everything seems smooth closer to launch date people cancel preorders and free up inventory for others.

But since Nintendo has such a shitty past making sure demand has been met people are placing bets. I have an Amazon order and BB order myself.

I don't care even if he does scalp, I just think it's funny people bitch about how annoying it is to preorder and then do it for like 5 copies "hoping they get one" when it's wildly unnecessary.

I'm gonna need receipts, I've never had an issue with GameStop overallocation of in store preorders that you make in the store.
 
Neon SKU title just changed to "Nintendo Switch with Neon Blue and Neon Red Joy-Con" instead of all that Nintendo Nintendo and Nintendo Wii Gamecube nonsense... now if they'd just open up preorders.

It makes a lot of sense when so many retailers cancel people's preorders through the process. It happens moments after a preorder is place, and it happens days before a launch. It's not like it matters in the end.

Just wondering how it went for USGAF. Did it sell out? Did anyone miss out? It's completely sold out in the UK but I got one. :)

But yeah, I agree with you. Unfortunately due to how some preorders have gone in the past I kinda get it? Truth be told though, once you get one from Amazon you are pretty much solid in my experience.

Well, normally I'd agree (I'm a single player kind of gamer), but I tend to visit my Mom and little brother in New Zealand around March-April. I watched the presentation last night with my brother and he said how excited he was that I could pick up the console before I came down for my trip, but with that launch lineup there's not much there that would make for a good "showcase" for him. It seems like I'd be better off just bringing my Wii U along for Smash and Mario Kart. Hence, contemplating getting it later.
 
Jeez, the $70 Pro Controllers still aren't up yet?

I didnt renew my Prime, and I was able to pay for release day shipping, its like 7 bucks or so.
 
Prime actually works for Zelda?

Might get it then. Not gonna have a Switch at launch but it will be nice to get that case and CD for later. Plus I always planned to double dip for Zelda
 
I guess I missed the boat on pre-ordering Switch. Can't believe Amazon went so quick. I didn't even get my e-mail notification.
