I've never had a problem just reserving one.

It's a bit overboard but at the hype peak of Amiibo, having this many orders still didn't guarantee anything.

I got Walmart in store pickup last night for gray, then Best Buy store pickup for neon. Today I got GameStop in store gray. Cancelled Walmart.

GameStop in store is the most reliable for me, but I want the neon pack (and also reserved the reverse neon JoyCons at GameStop, so if Best Buy comes through, I'll just give my GameStop order to a friend or roll the credit over to accessories.

Guys, I'm 100% not a scalper.

I will either sell them at cost to friends that couldn't get one. Offer them on the BST at cost for GAFers that couldn't get one. Or I'll just return them within 24 hours or so.

It's not the end of the world... but it absolutely secures me a spot. Do you know how many times Best Buy has sent a cancellation notice three days before launch?

literally 3 minutes in their support chat got them to refund my 5% that wasnt applied, and refund the $15 launch day delivery fee. $304 supposedly getting delivered on march 3rd.

Amazon won't issue until it ships, best buy puts a temporary hold on your account.

I canceled my best buy preorder and went with Amazon.

Amazon just verifies the credit card is real ($1 pre auth usually) and charges on ship. Best Buy is the same but it pre auths the full amount on order, cancels the order if pre auth fails. The pre auth does not actually take away the money, it just puts a temp hold and subtracts from your total credit limit but it will drop off after 4-10 days.

Both charge when its time to ship and will hold the order and email you if the credit/debit card fails and let you update the CC for around 24 hours before cancelling the order.

If you pay with amazon GC / best buy GC or paypal they charge you immediately however. Credit and debit cards get charged at ship.
