One of those slots is probably for Darkseid, who's a pre-order DLC character.
 
Premier skins huh? Uhhhh.... I was okay with the Darkseid thing but that kind of sucks :(. I'd rather just borrow someone's WBID and get the mobile unlock alternates that way hahaha. That's probably why they did that, actually. :(
Oh well, looks like GCU discount is going to come in handy come May lol.

It's not really a problem with the game feel short on content. I'm fine with a dlc plan with additional fighters. The bigger things is when you start cutting out launch day ready things to sell separately. Stuff like the character variant skins were include in the first game, now they aren't. Darkseid is ready to go...but only if you preorder (at certain locations?), and then there's the likely $30 minimum you'll be paying for the dlc characters on top of that. It feels really slimy. It looks like a great game, but will be saddled with a crappy business strategy.

I was just speaking to character count. The other stuff does get little dicey, especially with the pre-order character.

I always look at it with the mindset that they wouldn't have made that extra stuff if they weren't going to monetize it, which is actually fairly cynical. I'd love it in the base game, but I wouldn't expect them to have done it out of the kindness of their hearts. I feel like it would either be sold or would never exist, so it is what is is. Just gotta deal and decide if it's worth the money.

Diana is the strongest female hero and the best hand-to-hand combatant with her enormous strength and intelligence she got from the goddess Athena.

Diana has all the power to more than stand up toe to toe with a kryptonian...and thats without a kryptonite to help her out.

Im prerty sure once the Wonder Woman movie does gangbusters and WW becomes a money maker again, Netherrealm sutdios will change their narratives lol.
 
Those armored looks are so bland. Also find it interesting that Green Lantern of all people is just a reskin.

Hype otherwise though.

But she's not stronger than Supergirl. Only better hand-to-hand experience.
 
I kind of want this but man am I tired of them locking characters behind DLC. Fuck off. I'll wait for the inevitable GOTY edition or whatever.

The gap between a kryptonian'a strength and Diana's is not by that much.

Hence why Supergirl wouldn't ever overpower Diana considering she's also the much more experienced combatant, (goddess-tier level) more intelligent and got a shield from Seuss that can block essentially any physical attack if she ever even needs it since she can tank pretty much anything by herself already (with or without her magical bracelets; which adds to her already OP tanking abilities).

Seriously lol.
 
I have to scratch my head when I see people bashing the DCEU movies in here when the Injustice games/comics are drowning in the same juvenile, grimdark hero fighting hero crap. The games will be fun but the storyline in this series is awful.

100% agree.

I'm literally buying it for the gameplay and potentially the DLC guest characters

Holding out hope for Spawn, Buffy and Judge Dredd.

The DC universe bores me to shitty tears - including the awful films
 
Man, the character designs in this game are awful. Who at DC approved this crap?

That being said, the tone in the trailer is a little weird, but with Brainiac in the background pulling the strings, it could get interesting.

Finally, why are so many people hating on Swamp Thing? Dude is crazy powerful and has a really neat set of powers. Hell, he was easily one of the more useful White Lanterns during Blackest Night.

Yep, pretty much what I'll be doing too. It's probably the best MO with NRS games unless you can't really wait and have a competitive scene or something like that. People hardly play MK or Injustice competitively here, there's a scene but it's really small.
 
So Superman is still evil.
Batman is becoming evil.
Brainiac is clearly evil.
Society also pretty evil.

I guess Supergirl is like the only good character? And she gets mind controlled by Brainiac.

Sure, the story is completely juvenile but there is a sense of fun to it. It's the equivalent of a well executed b-movie for me. And there's a lot more to a fighting game than just story. It is but one mode among many others.

I feel spurned by Street Fighter V and it's fake Ibuki and shitty season 2 changes.

I need a new fighting game to love...
Could this be it?

Is it okay to want a fighting game comprised entirely of 2nd tier super heroes dressed like Tron?
