We will be unbelievably lucky if all it takes to defeat nazis this time around is punches. Our ancestors weren't so lucky.

This is a wonderful post that sums up largely how I feel.

I will say that it's important to determine who can and can't be reached. You're right there is no point in wasting time on many of them though.

Look, this Dick Spencer thing, it was just a punch in the face, man. Some people genuinely deserve a punch in the face (I know I have on occasion). Nazis and their ilk have a permenant spot at the top of that list, especially when they smugly belittle peaceful protest on National TV.

Dick is a Nazi, right? You know, that lot that systemically murdered six million Jews 60-70 years ago and likely would do so again today given the opportunity? Yeah, those lot. Their whole shtick is extermination and hate. That's their endgame. The least anyone can do is give them a slap around the chops when they try to normalise their toxic bullshit.

Chill on the Wynona criticism. She's just making "wha?! You mean people should be decent?! Mind blowing! Right on!" faces. If anything I think she was poking fun at the idiocy that is happening in America and was there to root on the speech.

Except that they were. I don't have the link at the moment, but he told them he'd be giving a speech like that if they won the night before. She was just being goofy/crazy/high.

He ran it by some of them, but I recall him saying that he changed some of it at the last minute too.
