Tips for best way to beat Mr shakedown as kyriu?

With majima I have it down to a tee.

Brawler to build up heat, then baseball bat for special heat attack then as he's on the ground I press triangle on him to build up heat and hurt him, then do a ground heat kick.

Have you beat all the real estate stuff?
If so use Dragon of Dojima.

Circle to counter the attack which gives you enough heat to do a heat move. Then use heat move. Rinse and repeat.

the ending is so good except
Majima should've been withe Makoto.

YAKUZA 0 was an amazing run through!!!! will go back and do some side stories. and try on legendary

No way, she would've continued to be a target of retaliation and his decision to live life to the crazy fullest until he goes out in a wild way would've been just added more insanity to her super tragic ass life. Not to mention a constant reminder of a lot of bad stuff. Him making sure a doctor who loves her would be there for her was the best. Tht he refused to talk in front of her worried she might recognize his voice? Amazing.

For Kiryu Rush style to quickly tag him and dip out. Use the recovery time from Shakedowns cyclone clothesline to get a good combo in. If you're advanced enough in the Brawler fighting style/training there's a Heat action for grabbing a dude's face while he's blocking and one for if there's a wall behind you. So Rush, build up heat, one of those Heat actions, hit him when he's down which should give you an opportunity to do another heat move, repeat.

If you're good enough at Rush and timing you can duck and weave most of his attacks as well.

Easiest to build up heat in brawler, then switch to rush mode and do a wall counter, or normal rush counter [this one is unlocked very late in the real estate mini game tho]. You can also build up heat and do some weapon heat [dagger, knuckles etc.]

Spent a good amount of time in the Cabaret Club today.
I won the first battle and was shocked by the ¥300m payout.

Where is the person who trains you moves for Beast? I completed Rush and Brawler and there's no other person icon on the map.

I swear I will never understand their emphasis on weapons and weapon crafting in this game. Using weapons outside of whats in the environment always feels unnecessary and poorly balanced. And then they just keep adding more and more weapon crafting stuff and I really don't see the point

For me the best way to take him down is this stick to Rush style, equip Spicy Knife, then dodge him as you build up heat to use the knife heat move. I'm not sure if this is due to the effect of Spicy Knife, but he'll wriggle on the floor in pain which allows a few kicks/stomps on him. Rinse repeat and you'll have billions pretty quickly.

Works better in other Yakuza games

Yakuza 6 solves this issue.

By not letting you carry any weapons at all! :D

after 15 tries vs Ogita in the Maharaja Showdown I was ready to throw the controller against a wall and give up, but then I realized how scoring in that pile of garbage of a dancing minigame worked.

basically if you want to get a lot of points you can afford to miss but you can't afford to don't take extra steps. 1 extra step before each button press makes a huge difference for whatever reason. meanwhile getting a really long combo barely gives you any points
since you're almost always gonna miss some button presses because there is some awful input lag or some other crap not working correctly (not to mention how the game does everything it can to distract you, they don't even cover the sound of the opponent making mistakes, which leads to you thinking you just missed a button press), just focus on getting as many steps as possible.

of course, luck is also involved. Ogita can just do everything right with 6000 steps and get some unbeatable score. it doesn't happen very often though.

Ya know what's bullshit about bowling!? The fact that the pins slide and stays up! They're not supposed to do that! If it does that means the lane is fucked and oil got to where it's not supposed to be!

JUST GIVE ME NUGGET

He will often score less than 4000 points and it is best to take advantage of him then . Timing when you do fever can have a big impact too.

Totally addicted to running my cabaret club, my girlfriend was watching me for a bit and got right into the makeover side of things, we're now a partnership.

Is there a list somewhere of all the minigames that have awesome rewards like the uhhh... asset... you get for completing bowling? For example I'm terrible at the batting range and if there's no awesome cutscene for winning it I'm not gonna bother.

Guys, need some help with the real estate stuff.

The 'staff' list has all the staff members I've gathered including a few managers and security members, however when I'm actually in the assigning part for a sector, I only see the same 2 low level people and no one else.

What am I missing ?

There are Managers, who manage the money flow of the district, Security who keeps gangs causing trouble out and helps you if you fight there, and Advisors who are completely separate and are able to give you better shop upgrades.

Lightest ball, furthest left, tap x quickly twice. Use full power and adjust spin if needed. Hit the head pin just off center

Right, I got all that.

What I'm saying is that when I'm actually in the window where you upgrade shops via advisors, you can press L1 or R1 to go to a screen where you can choose a manager and security for that district.

The issue i'm facing is even though my staff list has a bunch of managers and security members, I only have just 2 people showing in the district windows. I don't know how better to explain this.

Basically, I CAN'T choose any of the better security/manager people I've acquired in the district upgrades.

Man, that Fortune Teller is pricey for an advisor. I use her when I'm close to S Rank though. I struggled a bit with the Electronics King fight but I prevailed. Working on the Pleasure district currently. Have 100% ownership of Leisure and Electronics.

This game is something else.

I already have clocked 40+ hours.

Club Moon got bodied. Man that felt good lol

Is it just me or is the Club Moon fight really easy?
A lot of the other Rival Battles were nail-bitingly close for me, but against Club Moon I won by like 30 or 40 million.
Maybe it's just 'cause I accumulated like 20k fans in the area trying to get the challenge to start.

You have to actually select the staff that you want to change and then you can change him/her. After you have pressed R1, go over the default manager and press cross once. Going to left and right with d-pad/LS should change the guy for you then. Once again press cross to choose the guy/girl/chicken that you want.

Club Moon is much harder if you don't get the R1 bar filled before they do. If they are the one to fill there gauge first, they'll relentlessly rob you out of your costumers. But if you are the one to get the R1 bar filled first, then yeah, they are quite easy.

Edit: Ah, sorry for the double post.

Maybe I'm just lucky then, because in my battle against Club Moon I swear they didn't get any money or meter for the first like 20 seconds.
I remember thinking it was strange because some of the other clubs can earn a bunch of money before it's even possible for you to seat anybody.

Yeah, the first time I went against them they had like a level 2 bar before I even had a full set of costumers so I got wrecked. But the second time happened just like you described, so I was the one that wrecked them :)

Is there any good strategy for the club battles? So far, I've managed to beat Mars, Jupiter, and Mercury, working towards challenging Venus (I swear for some reason, maybe tinfoil hat ones, that this whole thing snuck in some Sailor Moon references beside the obvious ones). My Platinum Hostesses are leveling up okay (Just trained Hibiki, the others are either in their early 20s or late teens levels) and I decided to just use them all along with some gold levels that meet the taste of the area I'm battling for.

Course I watch out for incidents and customer's moods, but I just want to avoid getting bodied for the remaining two Stars.

often less than 4000 points? I don't think that ever happens, let alone often. unless you're telling me that playing on HARD impacts the difficulty of the minigames as well?
I played him more than 15 times and he never went under 5100-5200, his average was probably around 5500.

timing the fever is only important if you want to skip a certain part of the song, but if you set the song on easy you don't really need to do that. the priorities are taking those extra steps and not missing too much

spoilers of the lightest nature in fuckin history

This motherfucker just learned how to breakdance in like 3 seconds from one look

this game is bullshit

The dilemma of wanting to continue the main story yet also wanting to continue the adventures of Kiryu's real estate business, more money means more fighting prowess!
You just want to go against the pleasure king don't you?
It is ok we all aspire to that

Just finished it today and I loved every minute of it!
It was my first Yakuza and I'll definitely play some of the other games in the future.

Just finished Chapter 4. This game is fucking amazing.

Hell, Majima's intro made him immediately likeable, far more so than the straight-laced Kiryu. (Not saying he's not likable mind)

WOW. this is truly an epic game

the story is a masterpiece, it's on bar with MGS series, Heavy Rain and Witcher 3

my score for it is 8\10

it could have been one of the greatest games of all time

but the budget for it is low, the gameplay, graphics and animation is outdated, the world is small and very limited, most of the side quests are bad and don't have a voice acting, if it weren't for those things, it would have a been a 10\10

now THIS is a truly amazing story in a video game, a story that you are not likely to see in a generic hollywood movie, unlike The Overrated of us, which has a generic average zombie movie with a predictable story and yet you see lots of people praising it

i hope someday a Yakuza game gets a high budget so we can see it's true potential

I have to say I'm unfamiliar with the clubs depicted in this game and the hostesses' role in them. They are just there to sit pretty and drink with you?
