I just ordered BT headphones. Anyone knows if these work out of the box with Windows, or do you need some special software installed?
I'm aware they use compression for audio transfer, I'm just trying my best to have a wireless couch gaming setup

they should just work... they will be available as a standard BT audio device after pairing

Add me on Steam. I need more people on the leaderboard.

Done. Anyone else playing?

It seems the best way to get points fast is to be aggressive. Killing multiple ghosts in a row with power pellets is worth more than going for a 256 combo, well at least I had better luck using that approach.

Or eat fruit to get score multipliers and then eat as much pellets as you can.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
After thinking about the G2A AMA, I think I've come up with a way to prevent a huge number of these types of user-to-user scams. Maybe I should email my thoughts to Gaben.

So many of these scams could be prevented if Valve had a way to verify keys without redeeming them. They could even take steps to allow keys to be verified without the ability to redeem them.

My proposed changes are similar to how credit cards implemented CVV2 way back when.

Hopefully someone listens to my inane ramblings.

nice, got a couple of mods for FF6, one to remove the smoothing out and ring back the pixels, and one to make everything crisper, looks much better.

so he can steal your ideas while never replying to your inquiries?

form a service company for preventing user-to-user scams, then either sell the company to gaben or have him hire your services

Unfortunately it would be more like "start my own Steam-like service to compete with them on the merits of simply having better security practices and hope people use it instead of Steam". Some of this stuff is already done by other services to a lesser extent (Uplay, for god's sake) so I doubt that would fly.

Better if they just modernize their system - I don't care if they steal the idea, because it would honestly benefit just about everyone (besides scammers).

This months bundle is middle of the road to me at first glance, but I'm willing to try these games and see. I think Steamworld and Abzu are probably worth the cost alone if I remember so yay. Also I think the Highrise game is up my alley even though I've never heard of it before.

Normally I would just raffle/sell Husk but I'm intrigued enough by the atmosphere and drama to hold off and see if anything gets fixed, might be first horror game I play in forever :p

I've been watching SBFP of RE7 and I'll gotta say is if there is a Dino Crisis in the making
It's going to be some good shit man. If it's done by the same director

When I run Idle Master, do my friends get bombarded with notifications every time it changes a game?

btw, I managed to get the glitch working a couple of times but it is inconsistent.

you can just sign out of the friend's list.

Do people actually leave those notifications on? I got annoyed by them years ago when my friends list was ~1/3 the size it is now and turned them off. Can't imagine the endless barrage those notifications would be today.

I went ahead and did that - I might have just pissed off a lot of people while I was messing with the glitch tho :O
Some peeps on my friends list enjoy running idlemaster without going offline. I lol every time when their games switch every two seconds.

I turned them off from the start. I only have notifications enabled for 4 or so people.

LOL so based on everything you have played so far what are your thoughts on it? :p

I would say it is a highly engaging experience, and for me has so far tied with Umineko as my favourite VN from all that I've played.

It's surprisingly good at how unrelentingly tragic it is, in a way I called almost Shakespearean earlier in this thread, and it always seems to keep you on your toes with new twists too. Even with the many twists and turns so far, I know at this late stage in the story, there are still elements that haven't yet been answered.
Yeah I'm pretty hooked.

FWIW, I felt the early game set me up for something else entirely; the first chapter with
the sister
made me feel this would be something more akin to Higurashi, but it's really more like a darkly bleak, supernatural/gothic love story.

One thing that I like about the game the most is how it brings the element of tragedy and despair without having to give you the gory or disgusting details for most of the part. The music, the atmosphere and the narrative all set everything without having to spoon feed you every visual about what is going on which in some other visual novels would put the gore and disturbing imagery for shock value while this one does a great work at shocking you by what it tells you. I know some people wanted the game to have some more shocking images but overall I think it would be less special by doing so. Also the narrative dares to go to things I dont think have been explored much or at all in videogames or visual novels with some of the things that happen on it and make me wish more people dared to touch more things on stories and come up with creative ways to put gameplay mechanics to make it work on other type of genres.

I definitely love everything this VN does and how it manages to flesh out things for most of the part with multiple layers so things are not one note even if some twists may be expected on the earlier chapters. No game has before grabbed me like this and made me constantly revisit the soundtrack and picture things with animation and voice acting. The world is really interesting and Im pretty excited to play A Requiem For Innocence when it comes this year (hopefully).

Hope to hear more impressions as you go finishing the game cause its always fun to see people go through a VN and game overall that I love more than I probably should.

That sneak peak of Hollow Knight is quality. I really hope we get the full game when it releases but I doubt it. If not, I'll complain to Humble for sure. Regardless, the game seems like it will be fantastic.

It's essentially a variant on the f2p model. These games can (and should) have very long lifespans where people play thousands of hours in them. There's not very many ways to monetize that play time. The paradox model is perfect imo, you can spend as much or as little as you want, there's a steady stream of new stuff, and they can maintain development and profitability without having to push people towards a full sequel every year. It's far superior to things like the Madden series which abandons support yearly and requires a full game repurchase when dlc upgrades would have been perfectly sufficient and less expensive.

Paradox DLC model is what makes me always think why the fuck people keep supporting annual releases like Madden or FM instead of going with one game and update it constantly. More money for the publishers of course, but from consumer size, it's basically mean you're being extorted by buying the same game at full price every year. Paradox's model works really well not only to the benefit of them but their player as well. The support comes along for free via accompanying update for those DLC too, which mean more frugal person can play their game with the (half) renewed feeling while waiting for sales on that DLC.

People complains that Paradox DLC is too lacking in content to be priced that way. I kinda agree on the pricing though on the amount of content itself, I'm disagree. To my experience even with such incremental changes, most Paradox major update usually able to changed on how the game would be played. It's just nature of strategy game where major features introduced to an existing mechanics it will shift the balance within the gameplay system. So of course ideally Paradox should have more content to their $20 expansion, but it's impossible to introduce so many feature without breaking too much shit in the process. As such, they should adjust their pricing more accordingly ($15 is sweet spot).
