Yakuza 0 |OT| Yes, you can start with this one!

You have to unlock the change ability at the shrine I think . Then when you do speak to Yanoi

I had unlocked a couple of the different office interiors and it wouldn't let me change them right away (I had a bunch of CP saved up to unlock the bonuses as soon as it was available). I think maybe it was while the game was still tutorialising the real estate sidequest.

Once your the past the tutorial phase you can change easily

Nope, all my other games work fine but Yakuza 0 just goes to a black screen.

Ok , I have no idea then . When psn is down I can't access any of my digital games , I think anyway .

Doesn't make sense either as yakuza is SP only apart
From a separate MP mode

Just beat here money quota (once for each money target ) and then do the job

Edit - you have to bring down each dummy to complete

No but it ask to get a certain money quota... and the box are not enough there are not enough dummy...

I have to wonder around grab box, throw them away... and repeat until they break

Am I missing somehting ?

How do I give my cabaret girls a break? There doesn't seem to be an option and they're all slowly running out of health.
Give them a night off and run the lower class hostesses for a day . Tip for boss battles in cabaret , give the girls a gift , restores their HP when leaving customers

Prioritize using the red boxes over the normal looking ones, they give more money.
edit: and use them to beat up the dummies, in case you're not doing that :p

The red boxes are the best , 1,2 or 3 mil a box but everytime I done it there was plenty of boxes . Are you doing hard mode ?

YEEEAAAHHH! I WON! WE DID IT! NOBODY EVER BELIEVED IN YOU, MARIA, BUT I DID, DAMNIT!

Sure, Francisca perfected you in the last round, but you got back up and BROKE HER FUCKING ARM and that's what matters!
I WON! I'M RICH! I WON...

That's exactly what happened to me tonight the first time I played, but the opposite. I was on the last round with Francisca and had beaten the student AI to a pulp and won. I was doing my victory pose when all the sudden the other girl gets up and breaks my arm. I lost millions on that one.

That minigame is straight bullshit. How much you mash the buttons doesn't even seem to matter, it feels predetermined. I think I may have figured out a system though, gotta play more to be sure...

I finally found a telephone girl that was legit, I couldn't believe it. I thought they
were all sakuras because every call used the same two body descriptions
. It's cool that you can invite them out to karaoke and whatnot.

I've complete Kiryu's 4th style grid entirely. It can level ! You can upgrade it again entirely.

But I have no idea how to activate this style. I see I have to beat 50 guys with the style... No idea how to activate it

Another "OH DUUUDE!" moment in the sub stories: Kiryu gets summoned to the Batting Cages by a member of the Dojima family, 'but not an enemy':

It's
BABY DAIGO! Oh man, he was a schmuck even back then :p

Mentioned it way back in the thread. Glad to know he was always the spoiled brat we always knew he was.

I don't understand how any of Majima's fighting styles are effective against Mr. Shakedown. Locked areas not included I have fully upgraded all his styles, but not only does Majima's damage output seem ridiculously low on all of them, all his finishers on all his styles have like 2 seconds of animation lockdown before you can dodge or do anything else. Unlike with Kiryu, if Mr. Shakedown decides to go for his spin attack immediately after doing his previous move there's not a damn thing I can do except die.

Be wary though, you can level this all the way to level 99 and there's no trophy or CP related to this so just unlocking it is enough.

On the 3rd heat level, you can punish that move on Majima's Thug with SQUARE (x4) then triangle. The one that ends with the jumping kick.

Finally found the mini game that I'm hopeless on. Rc racing, only got to the 4th race and lack the momentum to experiment to find the right build.

I don't know how to do those super moves in breaker style. Anyone have any idea?
Both Majima's Breaker style and Kiryu's Rush style have incredibly few heat moves compared to the rest of their styles. The ones that they DO have are almost all unlocked in the abilities grid.

To check out which you have, and how to do them, go to the abilities section and press triangle. This will bring up a list of all your abilities. Go to Heat Actions/Heat Moves and then check the ones with the pink icons as those are for the Breaker style, the descriptions are easy enough to follow. Also take note of how much heat is required for which move.

Also, in my over 70 hour playthrough of the game, I only encountered this one glitch and it was funny and incredibly minor. Something to be said for a game that delivers such a crisp and bug-free experience.

I think if you go into your PS4's Network settings and uncheck "Connect to the Internet" that problem goes away.

I imagine it's trying to connect to the PSN and falling over when it unexpectedly fails. If you turn it off it won't bother trying and just let you be on your way.

First two steps should be to make sure you finish substory 8 and get the yellow RC motor from him (which will carry you to the absolute final race) and both the high speed and endurance battery from Don Quijote. Start with those (high speed for 8 laps, endurance for 12) and then see whether you can decrease its speed and whatnot through other parts if you keep flying off the tracks during practice runs.

Wait you can control the speed of the pocket cars in race besides boost?

Still doesn't sound right. I've got a digital copy of Yakuza 0 (US version in case it matters.) and when PSN went down for me a couple of days ago I could start and play the game without any issues.

You can control the speed at which time passes (by holding right on the analog stick), but not the actual speed of the vehicle.

I should have been a bit more clear. Your equipment determines the stats for your RC car. You can see your stats on the top left or right of your screen (the screen with acceleration, grip etc.) when customizing your RC car. Different parts change your RC car's stats in different ways.
So what I do is I go into practice mode, take the parts that would allow for the quickest times and decrease my stats if I fly off the track in practice mode.

Ideally you'll want your vehicle to be able to finish a race without you having to press circle to rebalance it or turbo to get in front of the opposition. The refined yellow motor you can buy after Kiryu's substory 8 will do wonders.

Cheers :)

Lost 1,5 hours to Majong, beginner's table of course. I have a slight idea what I am supposed to do, but not fully - especially if I'm just waiting for a few specific pieces towards the end of a match. Still fun, though, heh.

Awww yes, I finally beat Mr. Shakedown after got crushed for 4 times in a row, he keeps getting harder and harder. But it was sooo worthy: got 1.3 billion yens for Majima and unlocked all abilities for the three styles lol

How do you unlocked the last grid of abilities for Majima styles?

Just finished the game.
I feel like from chapter 11 on there was hardly time for side quests. Or maybe I was just so into the story that I focused on that. But the second half of the game rushed by.

Really enjoyed it. It was my first Yakuza experience.

I don't get why
either kiryu or goro would want anything to do with their former bosses. Like fuck those guys...I don't understand why they have any loyalty at all

I loved Majimas character development.

Great game!

Just bought it! First stores I went didn't have the game in stock (gamemania's in Amsterdam/Amstelveen sold out apparently), but thankfully a local toystore where nobody buys games anymore still had it.

Thus far a typical Yakuza slow burn at the start but I am used to that by now.

I think this might be the best Yakuza game. I mean, Yakuza 2 is gawdly, obviously, but until they Kiwami it it's still held back by the fixed camera angles, the tiny inventory, all those little niggles from the PS2 days. 0's story and cast of characters is shaping up to be incredible so far, though, and it has the advantage of being a sick-ass 60FPS action game to boot. And 100 glorious Sub Stories, with Real Estate and Club Management on top of all that? I'm in heaven with this game.

I've been buying up every property I can find in the first real estate area you unlock, enough to draw the ire of the Leisure King. I went to see him thinking it was time to fight, only to find out that that he actually planned to challenge me to karaoke. And not just any song; oh no, this motherfucker thought he could take Kiryu's crown in JUDGIMENTO! Do you see your mistake, Leisure King? DO YOU SEE? WE'RE BREAKING ZA ROOOOOOW! BREAKING ZA WAAAARUDO!

This game is amazing and exactly what I wanted after playing Shenmue. Odd, because I played the beginning of one of the other Yakuza games, and didn't like it one bit. I'm loving the way the story is being told and the cut scenes too. It feels like one of the few games that actually tells a story for adults; like it could legit be it's own tv series or movie.
