The Elder Scroll Online added ambient occlusion, water reflections ,improved shadow fidelity only in the 1080p enhanced mode while native 2160p mode is kept unchanged.
It is still not 100% clear. I really hope we get those improvements even for the higher resolution mode.

2160c and 30fps for 4K displays.
Super-sampling, higher AF, enhanced shadow maps and 30fps for 1080p displays.
Read from this page on, it's a known issue and hopefully being dealt with.
I wouldn't mind it. Sometimes I like challenge, but sometimes I would like to grind for materials real fast and auto aim should make killing watchers for materials fast.

You should play whatever captivates you first. Try them both, then play what you feel like playing more. It ain't about the graphics. A friend lent me FFXV and it's gathering dust right now because I accidentally started Dark Souls again and look at the time I'm now headed for the Four Kings.

Just to prove a point, I can see that happening. I guess it's only a few days before the reviews come out, might as well log off for a while.
I guess I can be safe if I ignore the Horizon and Zelda threads, but who knows what might pop up on the Far Cry/Witcher 3/Ubigames threads...

Right, it is going to be all about being proven right or wrong about the game. I expect gross exaggeration and nonsense.
I will probably just avoid Horizon threads as well but you never know where you can get spoiled.

Considering that it's written "Pré-Venda" (Pre-order), you're probably right. I saw empty boxes on another store of this chain yesterday and I think the white text box on the game case just says "Case for Demonstration, game not inside" (or something similar)
Whole time it's because of that game that those previews low key mean nothing to me.
I still liked FFXV, but what could have been man

Previews in general are very positive for most games. A game that previews negatively or mixed rarely does great critically. I remember trying to explain this when previews were all over the place prior to the order coming out. Some were glowing, some were awful. People jumped all over me as a concern troll for pointing that out.
Long and short previews do a better job of indicating if the game will suck, rather than indicating if it's a sure thing.

I dont know which will review better, but the console wars and fanboys will make a shitstorm about it on either side.

I'm buying both games but I personally think Zelda holds up extremely well considering it's running on hardware ten times weaker than Horizon is. They both look like great games so fans of third person adventure games are in for one hell of a March!

Let's be honest, unless the game has some obvious flaw that really hurts playing the game. Zelda bias is going to carry the game to some hard to reach level when it comes to the critics' reviews.
Horizon has a lot going for it, but the likelihood or it reaching a higher metascore than a new 3D Zelda isn't terribly likely.
The more interesting question is wondering how they'll be looked at in retrospect. Zelda Fans are extremely harsh when it comes to scrutiny. And Horizon has the benefit (or detriment) of being a new IP. I'm curious to see how the reception develops rather than the immediate reaction.

Yeah but now we're going to see stories pop-up on various gaming "news" sites that it's released early. Doesn't matter that it just a window-piece to inspire pre-orders

I need to decide if I play this first or Zelda. Both would get played on that Friday but Zelda would have to be picked up at the store and I'd need to re hook up the WiiU, whereas this could be ordered online and arrive in time.

I am doing the same. This isn't a knock against Horizon, Zelda just seems to have more content....it's just massive.
Horizon likely has a more linear structure to it that I expect to be around 20-30 hours to complete. Zelda in comparison I expect 60+.
Yeah, well let's not forget the scale of the tech let alone we really have no idea the total content in each game. Horizon technically is another level. If it has a solid 40 hours of content no one should be complaining.
If Zelda has a solid 40 hours I won't complain. But I know the graphics aren't going to burn my eyes with Zelda. There are certain tradeoffs here.
I love Witcher 3, but parts of it could probably be trimmed and the focus on a better storyline too.
It can't be worse than in 2011 Uncharted 3 thread...

I highly doubt it. Pretty much everyone expects Zelda to review better. We're talking about a series where all its main 3D entries have scored above a 90. The real upset would be the reverse scenario where Horizon has a higher aggregate.
