Gwenpool - Wasn't expecting that twist til later. But yay!

Silk - And dropped, not because of the quality but because Ford is back on art. Fuck that shit.

USAvengers - Good conclusion to the Skullmoracy thing.

Walking Dead was the first book I cracked open this morning, and I realized something: I miss new black and white books. I try lots of indies every month and b&w books are like unicorns.

Colored panels are lovely and deserve their place in the top spot, but I love good black and white art too. I guess nobody buys them?

Every time I read The Walking Dead I wish it were in color.

Was at the shop today getting some books and artist Brian Level was there getting his books and we talked for awhile and he said his favorite book is Stray Bullets and I told him I have heard that from some people (looking at you JC) and he walked away real quick and came back with the first trade and bought it for me. What a swell guy!

Hellcat - Okay...Patsy has magic sneezes which shrinks Jubilee and then makes her grow, Jubi then saves the group by crushing a giant bee with her ass.

Huh.

Stray Bullets has bad art so I can't fuck with it

theres actually a really great section of comics in black and white

its called manga

look it up nerds

Also America is in it and Patsy turns her into Miss Canada.

Have you checked out Goodnight Punpun yet? I remember you liked Solanin and it's the same mangaka. Very good (and emotionally exhausting) series.

I've never read any WildStorm stuff before. Is the opening issue of the new series understandable for newcomers?

Yeah, it's not a continuation of the old comics or universe, it's an entirely new thing. It uses the existing WSU characters, but again it's new interpretations of them.

I didn't mention it in my previous post about the book, but this week's Hydra Cap had a lot of character development in it that's leading up to fun times.

Well that was awfully nice of him.

It's on my list of things to buy. I have Nijigahara and haven't read it still so I was going to finish that up first. I've heard *really* good things about Goodnight Punpun so I'm excited to check it out.

I ended up not doing a 'top 10 comics I read this year' list but Solanin was definitely top 5 and likely top 3.

I also read Hellcat
(letpatsyhaveagirlfriendalready)

I want a Harley Quinn game from Volition in the vein of Saints Row.

Daredevil is becoming one of my favorite ongoing books. The first issue of this new arc had a great start and I like how the newest issue even referenced
OMD and Matt saying he's "not that desperate".

Holy crap this is a freaking awesome story.

Every vaguely nerdy site is doing this, or at least it feels like it. GameSpot's FB feed is mostly anime, comic book movie trailers and ONLY 90S KIDS WILL UNDERSTAND stuff. I fully understand why they're all doing this but I don't have to like or condone it. It sometimes feels like the staff at all these sites flavour their coffee with memberberries.

It's going to be a very interesting couple of years for the internet as a whole. It's clear that the ad-supported model is not working for a lot of companies right now. The desperation for clicks is rotting the content from the inside.

I can't make up my mind between stray bullets or usagi when it comes to the greatest American comic

Terry Moore is an all time great and I looooove that his art is black and white. I love seeing his linework and his original art is exactly what is on the comic page. He even letters directly onto the page.
