I mean, it's hackey and on-the-nose, but the entire point is Rogers believes he's 100 percent in. That's the story.

Eventually, Steve Rogers will work his way out of the darkness, with the help (death?) of his friend Sam Wilson.
Sam Wilson dying is a fast way for me to nope out of Marvel

It would make more sense for cap to die

Anyone read Rolling Blackouts? Started reading it yesterday. I went in expecting "Dispatches from Turkey, Syria, and Iraq" as the title suggests. Even the foreword talks about hours of interviews and telling stories from the region. But the starting pages just seem to talk about the writer/artist, her friends who are the traveling journalists and about how they are approaching their trip. It seems to be more about their journalism in that region than about the region itself.

[It essentially reads like one of those Yelp reviews where the poster wants to talk about how they picked the restaurant, why they are qualified to review it's authenticity, etc instead of just telling me about the food.]

After a trip to my LCS store yesterday I picked up the first 3 issues of motor girl and was definitely impressed, so a quick question as I know a lot from past comments there's a lot of Terry Moore fans on here. For a non digital reader, whats the best way to read strangers in paradise? The old normal trades seem quite expensive now, having not read any of it I'm a bit wary starting of with an expensive omnibus, so does that leave the pocket book versions? Are they okay, not too small or anything like that. For motor girl I expected the comedy/cute alien side, but was not expecting the
PTSD element from her time in Iraq and how she seems to have created the gorilla as a coping mechanism, I found that a really interesting twist

After saying last time I was giving All Star Bats one more issue to see whether I was dropping it...............I'm still not sure. Thought it was (despite some of Ivy's design, which I didn't mind as much as some people may do) actually the best issue in a while, but still not up to original Snyder series quality, so might give it one more chance again.

Also good news, they've announced BKV to the thought bubble con near where I live for later in the year, woop woop, got a Saga #1 that needs signing. Wish I had a Y #1 to go with it though.

Nah. This will end with the rubberbanding back to status quo, much like Aaron's story with Thor will eventually end with Odinson being proper Thor again.

It's just a matter of if Sam will stay A) alive and B) Captain America.

How much of Snyder's Batman run is given praise because of Capullo and cos work. His work imo is clearly not as strong without Capullo and co.

wouldn't it be about equal if not more towards Snyder.

Great art is always a plus but it doesn't mean shit if the story/writing is weak.

Example see Avengers. Great team, and amazing art. book is still the most boring thing ever.

Unless JaneThor died i think the endgame of Unworthy will be Thor get Ultimate hammer and get two thors.

I think its actually strange to say but it just seems to be the writing side at the moment. Maybe Capullo was doing some co-writing I don't know. People can have mixed opinions on John Romita JR art but for the last issue with Jock and the recent issue with Tula Lotay I think the arts been pretty good, the writings been whats still letting it down. I also think it may be a different editor or he's been given full control from his previous work, he seems to be just throwing in random things in the story with no one stopping to tell him it doesn't make sense or some things are just pretty silly.

Yeah, two Thors works. The whole point is at the end of a big arc like that, Marvel can point to a character and go "That's the classic Thor." Whether or not the alternate stays around is always anyone's guess.

I think current Thor and Captain Falcon have enough staying power to survive, not unlike the multiple Spiders we have floating around right now.

can yah picture a Thor with two hammers. damn. That would make for some fine action panels.

Had King Thor 616 Mjölnir? When not, this is not going to happen. Writers like to close their gaps.
Maybe Jane gets Ultimate Mjölnir

Eh sure as long as Thor still keep the cool metal arm i don't care and the last page of the series will probably be he is no longer Unworthy or some shit. I don't see them giving a good excuse of why he has unworthy in the first place even if i love Unworthy thor.

In retrospect, Capullo was the main draw of that Batman run. There was definitely some good themes and ideas in the writing, sometimes the execution is off. I noticed this in Allstar with JRJR, that team didn't work for me. Jr made Snyders writing boring, and Snyders writing made Jrs art dull.

I agree. The art was the only good thing on Year Zero.

Every writer does better with artists they click with. Maybe it impacts Snyder more than most though. I still prefer his work with Jock and Paquette to Capullo though.

Seems like they are staying based on the cover with young jean. I like that is no longer important to send them back, it made no sense to be an issue anyway when marvel has the alternate timelines view of time travel or whatever it is called.

Nah.

Gotta be time travel, looking at those costumes.

OGN or mini-series like Avengers Forever, with older versions of classic heroes meeting their current day counterparts.
Yeah, upon spending longer than a second looking at it you're probably right. Weird to not have Scott though.
