Games journalism must be a labor of love because there has to be a reason that all of the former big IGN names from like the early 00's moved on to "real jobs".

Unless you're the owner anyway like Peer Schneider at IGN, at some point you probably want to get a bigger paycheck.

A lot of the 1UP guys did the same. They either took jobs on the other side of the industry, or got laid off and then went to the other side.

If they can't move Jay, they can cut him pretty much without penalty. No awkwardness at all! All of the guaranteed money is paid. His contract is just a series of team options at this point. That said, I look forward to receiving the Texans' 1st round pick.

The way NBA salary's work is that the team that drafts you can re-sign you for $30m more then any other team can. So instead of getting $240m when he reupps he will only get $210m now.

I've been watching the Young Pope and it's pretty good. Great music and it's got some crazy moments. Plus it's only a 10 episode miniseries so once you finish it you're done, you don't have to worry about keeping up with another new series

I love that show. Jude Law is great. It's brilliantly shot.
