The PS4 doesn't support Bluetooth headsets either, does it?
There's a headphone jack on the controller, it doesn't need to. Have fun using a headset with Switch in docked mode.

Ok, this is the thread I call stretching. If neither Sony or Microsoft included bluetooth support for wireless headphones, why expect Nintendo to? This is the thing I feel to not expect at all.

Extension cable. I wonder if bluetooth headset support is part of the day one update though, Nintendo really needs better communication.Death by a thousand cuts...
So what are my headset options if this thing is docked?
So.. how long do you all think til the charging grip revision that includes a 3.5mm jack. Also, which do you will happen first, OS update to support bluetooth headphones or said charging grip revision?

Sony included it in the system they released that's the closet to what to Switch, which was released in 2011.
That's one of the biggest reasons why I (my mistake) expected Nintendo to include it. It's 2017, try to find a portable or mobile device that doesn't support Bluetooth headsets.

So how do I use headphones when this thing is docked? They put the world in these controllers but not a headphone jack?
There are previewers out there with Switches right now. Can't one of them confirm? I just bought a freaking bluetooth headset last week...
Welcome to 2005.
While this makes sense, it's still Nintendo. The one thing I made sure I did was not expect Bluetooth. I get it, it's a handheld, but Nintendo adding bluetooth was always a low chance, regardless of what year it is.

Would 3.5 mm Bluetooth receivers work? Sorry if this was asked already.
I'm pretty bummed by this as well, and while an adapter is not a fix, if it works I could get by for now. They need to add this soon though.

Wait, so there is no way to plug in a USB dongle into the switch and use wireless headphones? Is that what's going on here?
The dock doesn't even have optical out so unless your TV has it you can't even use a DAC for virtual surround sound .There's a headphone jack on the controller, it doesn't need to. Have fun using a headset with Switch in docked mode.

That's useless in dock mode though. We dont know about the dongle options
Depends on what is supported over the USB ports
It's OK. I don't need Virtual Console, headphones, StreetPass, a screen that works in sunlight, Netflix (or other web apps), or controllers that pair with the system. As long as I can collect platinum coins and redeem them for dope wallpapers, all is well.
(I say this lovingly, as someone with a preorder and an evidently unyielding attachment to Nintendo.)

Would one of those 3.5mm - bluetooth converter dongles work?

Using one of these is an option (I use one for my car to sync to my mp3 player), but it's still an inconvenience.
Why did you do that? It was never confirmed by Nintendo outside of the French interview, which got now corrected.
