Some other people have said that joycons feel very neat and tight on the rails.
Might be a console that has been manhandled...

A lot longer, yes. It's still quick, but not "10 seconds" quick. Usually around 45 seconds or so from powering on to playing again.
I guess the forest didn't teach you not to double post
AMIRITE!?
Just watched part of the CNET kickstand video, what a ridiculous video and complaint that is "bash your Switch around and man handle and manipulate it in tabletop mode in ways you won't normally do and it will fall over"
Thank you for assuming something positive about me. Here, just for you...And obviously your friend said no, because there's no way you're so heartless as to not include that video for us.
Two questions from that:
1) does the switch dock have HDMI-CEC or they just left it on the correct input? If I have to manually switch inputs that'll slow things down.
Went to Nintendo Switch event tonight. Will edit short video later. For now, some thoughts:
- When attached to the system itself it feels a bit flimsy, sadly (it wobbles a little on the rail).
I checked this video:

It's a bad video, I disliked it, but you can see that it seems to be just fine. Maybe it was your device or the surface?
Well it's not perfect but looks good enough
I was not talking about the kickstand, but the joycons themselves attached to the Switch. On every unit I tried (multiple booths) they were not very sturdy against the unit. Not sure what a good analogy would be.I checked this video:

It does not feel nearly as long to go from rest mode back to a game... still great that they can handle a quick resume .
Sorry if this has been adressed, but any news about the joy-con desync issue lately ? I haven't been able to follow gaf as much as I'd have liked to on last few days.
Idk where else to put this
Trying to add fund to the eshop before next week and I just wanted to express that their online eshop is okay, aside from the fucking fact that you cannot add eshop credit without an actual console. Oh and before you say eloquent, here's the link to redeem your code please note that the site you are actually linking me is ONLY for fucking game downloadable codes. They have no portal to add funds via gift cards to your account. The only way I could see if there's an option is if your wallet is empty and at checkout they offer to let you redeem your code but I can't do that now since I already loaded all the money via my 3DS. It's stupid and clunky and archaic. Fix it before Friday Nintendo.

Literally screaming right now.Have you tried:
https://eshop.nintendo.net/redeem#/
?
It might be for game download codes only, but I'm not sure....
Haha, well, I'm glad it pleased someone at leastI literally laughed out loud
I haven't heard anything else about that either. If it exists, it could be part of a day one patch.
Also, anyone want to see a stupid video of a guy constantly pushing over a Switch on purpose?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PPtPIpXwpvs
Thanks !
This is fucking embarassing on CNET's part, if Bakalar had anything to do with this smh
While I feel good about leaving a downvote, I feel just as bad for giving them a view.
Literally screaming right now.
Edit: it's okay I forgive you
Aaaaand ripomg
on topic: I need to redeem this eshop card but no way to do it atm
Any videos focusing on the Official Case?
A quick overview of it in this video https://youtu.be/ZMSPphd5Wrc
It doesn't seem so. Really annoying; I figured it'd be a lock in, especially given how useful it would be to dock the system with HDMI-CEC.

I hope they will bring day of disaster back on switch.

This is one of the greatest music ever made for games and i believe it could be a good IP from Nintendo if they put time in it and rethink it.
Even though the Wii U didn't work with HDMI-CEC, I suppose that with Switch, they expect you to keep it in sleep mode more often than completely powering off the system. In that case, you'll be waking it from sleep mode like a handheld more than powering it on and off like a console, though maybe waking up a device would still work with HDMI-CEC? I don't know.
What? Of course waking up a device works with HDMI-CEC; the PS4 supports this very functionality. It just sounds like Nintendo doesn't support this feature at all, which is a real shame.
Dunno if there was a Switch OT but wanted to let you guys know BB charged me for my preorders.
Buying two Switch consoles.
Is it possible to remove the Zelda cartridge, from the first Switch console and continue playing on my second console on the same account?
Save file is on the system. So, you can't do what you are trying to do. We don't know yet if you can transfer the save file on the micro sd.Buying two Switch consoles.

I think as far as we know, savegames are stored on console, not on the card. Maybe it can be imported via nintendo account, but at least I haven't heard that yet.

Probably not yet. Nintendo likely has a cloud storage solution for some point in the future.
Has anyone been able to test wheter or not you can download an eShop game on two different consoles yet?

Thanks. I'd love to cancel my Zelda pre-order and go digital, but not if it's using the same old account system.Eshop isn't available yet
HDMI-CEC would be great for the Switch because it would make the seamless transition to the TV even better. Drop it in the dock while turned on, and have the TV turn on and switch source automatically.
