The absolutely BOILING hate for Sheeran in here though. Sure, he makes bland music but then again half the people stanned in here do. I wonder if Sheeran's hate in this comm is related to the fact that not only is he the proud owner of male genitalia but that he also sports unconventional looks?

Surely ya'll wouldn't be so superficial, right?

No, his obnoxious tendency to make sappy trend-chasing music, with lowest common denominator lyrics, while playing some sort of relatable friendzoned character that can play the guitar and has become successful against all odds, but who, in reality, actually comes across as a calculating douche is why I dislike him.

Truly the male Taylor Swift without the looks.

Well they have a point. His music is just trash and no better than Maroon 5 at this point.

Also, I been listening to lots of Lana lately. Kinda ready for her new album already.

I remember the anti Rita Oral stan wars that happened here a couple of years ago and I kept bragging about the fact that she was unable to release music and that fact that to this day it still holds true is quite interesting.

Talent always wins. Especially the kind that doesn't need to force a song on people to make it chart.

You could have just stopped here. I don't like bland music, and he makes bland music. I agree that the ugly jokes around here are stupid, but can you at least agree that no woman could get away with looking as disheveled as Ed while also peddling an inflated ego while also pumping out bland ass music, and have anywhere near the same success? That gender line is all I see when his songs are sitting at the top of the charts.

I don't necessarily like the noisy guitar bridge, but it make the angelic soft part that follows afterwards all the more rewarding. Just beautiful.

I can't think of an artist delivering consistent quality quite like Lana.

In the version that ended up on Ultraviolence, she doesn't mention the title and the lyrics don't really match thematically either, which is unusual for her, so it almost seems like she just slapped the title on a completely different track at the last minute.

I've honestly always been so salty about this. That intro sounds so amazing. As to why she didnt include it in the album, my guess is that that version was going to transition into the album version but maybe she didnt feel they transitioned well or maybe she thought the album version was already too long.

Just came across this live version of Love on the Brain.

Girl is growing as an artist. Nowadays more often than not I'm impressed by her live performances. I'm still under the impression that she can't sing for shit.

I think the frantic and erratic nature of the singing is helping her on this particular song, chosing a bit on the fly how to sing in order to hit the notes right, but still. She's barely, if ever, off-key.


Edit: okay, all of the songs she performed on that Global Citizen concert slay. Wow.
