Ticket To Earth is really good. It's SRPG first, puzzle game second. I just unlocked the talent tree; this game has an impressive amount of depth. I only have one character so far, so the strategy and complexity is only going to increase when you have control of multiple characters, plus their abilities and talents
I don't know of to say it nor how you will you cope with your time and wallet....but feel free to simply add Ticket to Earth on your most wanted list.

I'm super impressed.

A blend between Banner Saga, Steamwolrd Heist, Puzzle Quest and Dungeon Raid.
Yet, it feels really fresh and damn, it's SUPER polished.
The tutorial takes its time but when it opens up...woah, it really opens up.
So many choices, including during the fights, interesting story set in a credible world.
iCloud sync the icing on the cake.
Also, a big plus, fights while being pretty strategic doesn't seem (so far) to take ages....on the contrary everything is kept pretty compact for perfect playing on the go....unless like me you played one hour straight in the blink of an eye.

Definitely GLORIOUS so far.
Ticket to Earth is starting brutally kicking my ass, especially in the side quests.
Making the longest chains doesn't help anymore....you must be sure to end in a position where some enemies can't reach you, while building up your powers on the way (because standard attack is lame and take ages, with all unlocked characters so far).
So there is a really nice positional strategy on top of everything, another fav of mine (Card Thief is another awesome example of this, and Warhammer Quest back in the days).
On top of this, not sure if casual or not, but some evolved spiders are really nasty when it comes clearing your most wanted colors on the board disconnecting the paths you carefully and painfully slowly tried to make.

I love it.

So does it work like the matching is the movement system? Or is matching the way to use powers? Or is it both?
Both. You travel along like-colored tiles to move around the board, which also adds to your attack power based on the number of tiles traveled. Different tiles also charge your special abilities.

Also different talents (basically perks and skills) are often affected by tiles traveled. For example, one character has a skill that doing a chain of a certain length automatically collects all pick-ups on the grid

Site lists Android, but it's not out on there yet

Now that sounds interesting and unique; looks like there's still some life in the tile matching genre yet. Might need to pick this up. Is the story pretty good from what you've played so far? The hand-drawn characters and plot summary have got me intrigued.

Personally I don't generally like comics nor colorful sci-fi, but here the story really grabbed me (and the graphic is awesome).
It's interesting enough but not necessarily super verbose, so you are right in the action pretty fast, but always with a clear objective tied to the story.

Yeah, it's neither the most original or complex story, but it is interesting and has had some intriguing turns so far

This looks fantastic. Normally I avoid episodic games until all episodes are released (Netflix has spoiled me...), but for $4 why not. Well, I do have a stack of games already I want to play across multiple platforms... So what's one more?

I can't speak enough praise about this game. I've been looking forward to it's release for some time. It's great to see Aussie developers deservedly in the spotlight.

This was demoed at PAX Aus 2016 and the developers were incredibly down to earth and humble. I had some hands-on time with their game and was sold on the beautiful art style and interesting world and characters. I managed to score a near complete collection of art cards and badges featuring both the heroes and villains of the game.

Ticket to Earth is truly a labor of love for the developers. The gameplay also has a surprising amount of depth and complexity that isn't initially apparent. $3.99 is an absolute steal, especially if the price includes access to the subsequent chapters.

After playing about an hour the game is as good as advertised. The SRPG plus Dungeon Raid combo is really cool. My biggest criticism is the dialog (motherfleckers? Really?).

If they do release the episodes as free updates are they going the Wayward Souls/Shovel Knight route of increasing the base price for future buyers? $4 is a steal even at iOS prices.

Not exactly an unusual thing for sci-fi

And $3.99 is the sale price, the full price should be $6.99

I just picked this up last night thanks to More_Badass's thread and I'm blown away by the initial impression this game makes. I just opened up the second character (Wolf, I think?) and it's such a smart blend of Dungeon Raid/Puzzle Quest and a more traditional SRPG that looks, sounds and plays great. The character customization/optional objectives are fairly deep and the game is actually fairly challenging in spots; I wiped a few times on the first Wolf mission and have started looking at how you can also try to block enemies' movement options with your own moves. There's some randomness at play with how new tiles pop up but that's essentially the same as some of the bullshit PQ would throw at you with falling gem patterns.

Do you ever play with more than one PC on field at once? Curious.

Yes, eventually you have two fighters at once. Then more later based on the trailer

Started this last night and it's rather enjoyable. Takes a bit longer than it needs to start showing off its RPG elements, but it's smart and slick. Seems like good value at $4, and mobile seems to be the platform of choice here.
