Got a dumb question (Yiga Clan related spoiler)
Finished the sidequest in Kakariko which had Impa's guard reveal his past to me. During this sidequest all the little shrines got replaced with the Yiga headstones all over the world. I've already defeated the Yiga Clan and their leader in the hideout, is there something else I need to do to return the miniature shrines to normal?

I'm going to ask a completely foolish question that I'm sure has been discussed before-so I apologize.

If I wanted to get the 30th Anniversary Link Amiibo-is my best bet to get it on eBay-or is there word that Nintendo might be restocking this?

Edit: Nevermind it seems to be in stock on their website.

So just started the game Sunday. Just got to the 4th of the first 4 little trials for the paraglider.

I don't know how everyone else did it but I made some spicy food that got me through the snowy mountains and went around to get to it because I couldn't cross the icy water. Felt good man.

Already such an incredible feeling game. What I've always wanted from open world games like these is the fact that sinply traveling should feel like an adventure, not just a series of interactions. It's what I always expected from the Elder Scrolls games and such, and would intentionally not fast travel hoping for this experience, but it never really came. That's why I stopped with those games.

But with this, just getting to that trial gave me that feeling I've been looking for for so long in games. That true sense of adventure throughout the world from getting to point A to B. And I don't even have the paraglider yet lol.

I'm betting there's not gonna be anymore 30th anniversary restock, especially with retailers showing crazy prices online. Expect a restock of the BotW ones though, because that's the current push. This will force folks who missed out on the 30th to go for the next set, hopefully the rumored MM amiibos, quicker, all according to keikaku.
Just paid $50 for the toon link/Zelda set on eBay, so get what you can.

NoA tweeted this:

The Legend of #Zelda: Breath of the Wild has “more perfect scores than any other game in @metacritic history!”

Is this time for real? We had 2 threads that were locked before because it had not happened yet.

It's like a Phylliidae (a walking leaf). The leaf shaped face is part of their body. It's not a mask.

EDIT: Koroks are of shoots from the Kokiri forest dwelling people, if I got it right. So it follows that OoT would be an example of the Koroks in their humanoid form.

Yup, they were the Kokiri and later they took their current appearance, this is Makar from WW:

So eating 2 doesn't stack?

All food/elixir effects cancel out any previously active buffs, they don't stack. Though you can make items with mid or high level resistance as well; which are equivalent to wearing two and three pieces of resistant clothing respectively.

Woah what? I just took all the apples, never even thougt of placing one..
I climbed a mountain early on and there was one up there. I coyld freaking swear I put an apple on it and nothing happened.

Now I'm thinking of all the times I've seen those and missed out on seeds... My life is a lie

Wait til you get to the one that's missing a hard boiled egg. Hint: you don't make a hard boiled egg with just an egg and a flame, as I discovered!

I actually came to post about this seeing both the Switch and Wii U still get more perfect scores daily.

I counted 58 for Switch and 5 for Wii U making it total 63 perfect scores.

Personally if the game holds up it might make my top 3 games of all time. The game is simply just so much fun to play.

Hello and welcome to the adventure!
So far here what other people did beside cooking to do that snow part in the tutorial area

1) do the old man cooking quest to get warm cloth
2) use a torch to keep them warm
3) Eat peppers without cooking them (cooking was such a struggle for many people, lol)

And yes, this game is not about just going to point A to B especially if you want to uncover some secrets/quests, you will have to pay attention to npcs and stuff you read (that's why I will never understand the rant about fetch quests, they're overrated compared to korok seeds puzzles, lol)

Late to the party, but finally got my review up today.

https://www.gamespew.com/2017/03/the-legend-of-zelda-breath-of-the-wild-review/

I really wasn't a big fan for my first 10 hours or so – couldn't see what the 10/10 fuss was about AT ALL. But something happened and I fell in love. 80 or so hours later, it's a masterpiece. Never been so gutted to see the end credits roll in a game before!

Nive review, I liked the part you explain why at first you didn't liked it which is normal for beginners who're not used to those mechanics and instead are used that the game power up the players with a leveling system. Then with time you understood that the game give you what you need to overcome those difficulties you had.

This is the fault of all those people who complained about petting waifus and husbandos. Prudes!!! Now because of this Nintendo won't even let us pet dogs.

I bet they programmed it in there but then someone did some weird shit in testing and they removed it

I paid $45 for the WW set, but way more than that for OoT Link. :( I wouldn't have done that just for one Amiibo but it was the last one I needed so fuck it, and I had 75% of the cost in Amazon credit.

Anyone know a specific spot for Electric Keese?

Yes, there's an area with like 10 of them on the path to Zora's domain.

Or I'm pretty sure you can drop a bunch of regular keese wings on the ground and lay a metal weapon on top of them during a thunderstorm so lightning electrifies them.

I actually did some extensive experimenting with this as far as stamina goes. Only carrots seem to be able to give full wheels, so far that I've seen anyways. But since carrots are food, its like a hard cap, but it seems stamina elixirs can stack somehow, but still trying to figure out the trigger.

https://www.twitch.tv/videos/130056744

You can see us talking about it in the chat replay. This video also perfectly illustrates how easy it is to get lost doing something else.

EDIT: Watching it again, it doesn't stack, just fills to the next elixirs addition.

About 70 hours into the game. I can confirm that Breath of the Wild is my favorite game of all time surpassing Ocarina of Time, Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Skies of Arcadia, Mario 64, and Majora's Mask.

This is definitely the best open world game I have ever played.

Is it generally frowned upon to post massive write-ups in OPs like this? Because I've got about 10 or so hours to go until I can reasonably take on Ganon and damn do I have a lot to say about this game, stuff that (hopefully) hasn't been talked about too much before.

I don't see why not?

It's too early to make a LTTP so I'd say go for it!

Thanks! I'll keep mentally taking notes on what I want to say about the game then. On reflection the game is becoming one of my favorites; not the favorite but, unlike some, one I can look over the faults and see the greatness inside that makes it special to me. Though, with Persona 5 and Mario Odyssey still to come it's still not a surefire GOTY for me. This year is crazy in terms of quality.

completed the rito and zora dungeons, and now i can't decide which one to do next, lol. i've been running around doing side quests, upgrading armor, hearts, etc in the meantime. should i do rudania or naboris next?

i've also decided i'm gonna complete every shrine before i take on hyrule castle. just doesn't seem right to do it without the
tunic of the wild
. i did sneak in to get the
hylian shield
though

So I finally beat my first dungeon boss,
Waterblight Ganon
Wow, what a great experience. Loved the fight, reminded me of a Dark Souls or Bloodborne boss.

Do it. I love massive write ups.
