Already knew all of this. Though a lot of it I learned thanks to gaf.

Pretty sure you can't ride moose though, I tried but never saw a mount prompt.

I've played this game for over 90 hours and been all over the map, and I've never seen a bear.

Where do you find bears?

Gerudo Highlands.

Can really you ride a moose? I've literally had Links head up ones ass and the mount options never appeared. Is there another trick to it?

The elemental effect of dropping a weapon works with any type, too.

You can skip an entire puzzle in one of the dungeons by just putting two lightning weapons in the right place.

I've also seen this one done by stringing metal weapons together to build a circuit.

Warm doublet + spicy food also works.

For high-level resistance, you can just double up on low-level resistance things.

Yeah, I know but at the time I had nothing else in my inventory except the flamesword. That was a great discovery and it's really one of those little details that pushes the game into status of one of the best games ever.

I dont know if they put it on the list, but you can complete electric circuits using your metal weapons. This allows you to cheese the final puzzle of the Gerudo dungeon by chaining weapons from one electric ball to the recepient of the second ball.

Same.. don't think it's true..?

I'm surprised you can ride a moose. That's the huge one with the enormous antlers, right? Because I put on my full stealth equip, took a stealth potion and approached one very slowly and couldn't do it...? I know you can ride an elk.

Amazing. This game really is defined by the amount of freedom it gives the player. It feels absolutely limitless in a way I haven't seen a game do pretty much... ever.

Also, gotta give props to IGN for limiting this to 3 pages instead of making us click through 100 pages. Good stuff!

Came across my first bear the other day. I think it was a little ways out from Fort Hateno. Managed to mount it and calm it down. Rode around on it for a bit, but got knocked off of it by some bokoblins. It ran off and I wasn't able to catch up to it again. I was quite sad. That bear and I, as brief as it was, formed quite a bond. :(

Waste of arrows when bombs do the same trick.

On this note:

Figured out yesterday that Bomb Arrows will spontaneously explode on Death Mountain.

Which is like, duh of course they will, but I didn't even think about it until I'd blown myself off a mountain into a river of lava.

Yeah that was pretty cool when I first learned of it when I went to the desert. I was on an icy mountain and flew into the desert and noticed when I got near the walls that had shade I got cooler. My shade was disappearing fast though because the sun's movement was making it hard to go from shady spot to shady spot and I didn't have an ice weapon on hand, nor an elixir.

My first elk was killed on a tranquil road by (spoiler)
a sneaky fucker from the Yiga clan masquerading as an ordinary Hylian NPC. First I ever encountered one, 75+ hours into the game.
That was kind of shocking and I never saw it coming.

And regular arrows turn into flame arrows. Plus all wooden equips and weapons start burning up if you use them/put them on.

This is me on the way to Kakariko very early in the game. In a forest near the Dueling Peaks.

Yeah, this one I want proof of. I've tried gliding onto a moose's back, which works for other animals (and Lynels), but Link just slides off.

This is what happens when a game is delayed this long despite having an all-star team developing it.

It ends up polished to the highest of quality, with touches that scream 'labour of love' bursting from every pore.

The delays were torture, but my god were they worth it in the end.

So true. This game is packed with ideas.

The fuck there are skeletal undead horses in this???

70+ hours played and I haven't seen that.

I saw one at the Ranch Ruins. It was ridden by a stal-bokoblin. Managed to get a pic, but I deleted it to make room. Now that I see there's a quest, guess I'll have to go back.

For the moose and elk I think you have to paraglide onto them the same way you do with the Lynels to mount them. I know you can mount the Lynels with a critical hit arrow or with stasis but you don't really have that option with animals.

Wait. Where do you guys melt ice? I never felt the need nor seen the option outside of the ice blocks you create

Just to reiterate: you can ride a moose :)

You have to soothe them a bunch like you would a horse but they become completely 'okay' with you. Once you get off they do run away though.

I did it two days ago when I was gliding from way up high and landed right beside one. I have a photo capture of it if needed :)

I was so disappointed when I brought a bear back to the stable and they said "no."

DLC/expansion should have a special stable for non-horse animals and the skeleton horse.

And an end-game Lynel mount that can climb most terrain

Please post it. A moose... not an elk, right?

I almost broke the controller when
I camped the stupid mountain lord glowy ghost mount thing, and found out you can't keep it.... what bullshit.

There's a specific shrine that you need to melt ice in order to access. There's also a frost talus that you have to melt his ice to damage him.

Whoops, I looked and it IS an elk. My mistake!

Well, now I have a new goal too though I don't think I've come across a Moose now that I think of it...
