Schiff saying he has more than circumstantial evidence worthy of investigation.

Besides the 'more then circumstantial evidence' part, this is the other fact that puts some context. Leading into the Congressional Hearing with Comey he actually said something else "There is circumstantial evidence". What the hell did he hear that happened between Monday and today that made him change his stance on this?

Nunes coming out basically gave him a lot more leeway to reveal a bit more for the good of the investigation.

The GOP should be extremely glad that this offers perfect cover to not hold the health care vote tomorrow. Or perhaps they sat down and decided that a failed vote would be a marginally less terrible news lead?

Could just be fishing. I mean, look at how much info Nunes offered unprompted! Imagine what he might share if he thinks someone else might leak it first.

Nunes running like a chicken, if I had to guess. Monday they had a list of potential leads but nothing solid. They noticed Nunes being suspicious, so they pricked Nunes' foot and saw him run straight to Trump.

At the time it looked like the Democrats would hold the Presidency and he could use the Speakership to advance his career. To be honest I don't know that he was wrong, if he was not Speaker what future prospects would Ryan even have? He'd be a powerless congressman right now with no path to being anything else. Would you rather be a bad Speaker or a has-been vice presidential candidate?
I really don't think he had any future prospects. He was totally content to be Ways and Means chairman for the rest of his time in office and then retire in his 50s.

Umm. So we already knew that Trump associates had communications incidentally intercepted (Flynn).

How stupid do you have to be to come out and publicly say there were legally obtained FISA warrants out on Trump associates? How does this make him look good? And it still doesn't even make him "right" about Obama.

How do you decry leaks when the Chair of the Intel committee provides this in full court press before the rest of the Intel Committee even knows.

If anything it just makes Obama admin look good unless they want to challenge FISA court rulings. This just shows there's a fire and people know it.

Go check out the headline on Foxnews.com right now. There's your answer. That's all they wanted here.

gonna go ahead and posit that Trump was unintentionally revealing the authenticity of IC info when he started claiming his wires were tapped by Obama. he's probably sitting there, looking at w/e someone (Nunes?) leaked to him however many weeks ago, and knowing he was on the phone when he said [incriminating bullshit], he went off on Obama.

Little does he know it was the other end of the line that was tapped and he fell for the oldest trick in the book, while also setting the spring for Comey and Schiff.

Gonna be hilarious when this all goes down, assuming we avoid nuclear war when our pants are down.

If the freedom caucus is on board that just means the bill got worse for moderates in the senate. but if it's all reconciliation we might be boned regardless.

What kind of changes

The only kind of changes Freedom Caucus representatives want are the kind of changes that can't be put into a budget reconciliation bill. And it isn't passing without them.

So this is just to signal they're going to step away from this vote and delay. Trump will whine in response. This nightmare dance continues.

I'm a firm believer in the GOP getting something awful done.

There will be no moderate GOP senators to save us.

I have no Idea. But ones the HFC wants apparently.

No deal on GOP health bill yet, but Freedom Caucus guys leaving meeting sound very optimistic they will get it done

http://talkingpointsmemo.com/dc/ehb-obamacare-repeal-vote

They're promising the Senate will gut the EHB rule, which requires insurance providers to cover essential health services, even though the Senate parliamentarian has said it can't be passed through reconciliation but some senators think maybe she didn't say that?

There was basically no chance of it passing the senate without amending anyways.

I've always maintained that something will pass the house. It will then pass the senate with significant changes, then we all panic as we wait to see if the house accepts the changes.

I almost want to dare them to put something like that up for a vote. There is no way that provision stays going through the senate, and suddenly all those republicans have themselves on record for voting for something that literally was the main reason people wanted healthcare to be changed in the first place in 2008. It had full bi-partisan support even if only on the surface. The commercials write themselves.

You can count on one hand the number of things Republicans -- including Trump! -- like about ACA and promised to keep intact, and number one among them was pre-existing conditions. They've said over and over again for months that they're going to keep that. The fact that they're considering gutting it now in order to pass the bill is unbelievable in its hypocrisy.
