Wut.

It has Sony marketing partnership, 100% confirmed by the PlayStation exclusive content label on these posters.

There's 0 incentive for Activision to release this on W10 store.

Sony doesn't give a shit if it's being sold on Steam or the W10 store.

But the DLC expansions in Destiny were what improved the game at a content level.
Was kind of hard to support it when I finished the first DLC in less than 40 min, and paid $40 for it. Sure the game was made much better with updates. I rather want them to make a proper game from the start. And then have bigger updates that actually have value (not saying none of the updates was good).

I stopped playing destiny 1 about after House of Wolves. I got very bored of the content and I didn't bother with TTK and ROI because I felt it was the end of Destiny for me and I moved on to FFXIV and still am very active on FFXIV. Anyway, point here is that I didn't feel anything much in Destiny. The story had major problems and at times it just became super repetitive. My friends never wanted to do raids cause there was no raid matchmaking, etc and I only ever experienced raids with people on bnet in the mythic members group. My enjoyment of the game shot down into pieces after HoW and I was convinced Bungie blew it. I'm willing to give d2 the benefit of the doubt here because now that Bungie has world design done in destiny there should be bigger emphasis on story and lore. Please drop grimoire cards. PVP was also a huge mess with everyone running around with Thorn and TLW. Variety died so quick and burnt me out.

Won't SCORPIO be dropping around the same time as Destiny 2?

You'll be required to ship both One and Scorpio, same as PS4 and Pro requiring a base model version. I'm almost expecting that they've started with the PC version first this time and then the consoles are just various setting tweaks based off it. That's the most sane option, anyway.

If you consider just beating the story missions as "finishing" a DLC then Destiny (and many MMOs) probably just isn't the game for you. And the first two DLC were 20 dollars not 40 iirc.

You should have given The Taken King a chance. It completely changed Destiny in a good way.

Played 1 on the PS4, but I don't even care about the exclusive content, I'm going to switch to PC.

Definitely not an STD, as I'm a pure.
Damn was hoping Sony didn't have a marketing deal for this. Now we gotta see this game at every Sony E3 and PSX for the next 3-4 years, taking up like 15 minutes of their conferences. Shit.

The ducks on this gif are an accurate representation of all the hopeful "60fps-on-console" posts on this thread.

I heard very good things about it but I just couldn't go back. There was just so much stuff said that wasn't there at launch. I didn't want to keep shelling out money for more mediocrity. I'm ready for d2 now.... I hope it is the game we were promised but better.

I'm torn on platform selection. I'm sure the PC version will be awesome but not at all convinced that the playerbase will be nearly as robust as on PS4/XB1. It's very hard for games to get big followings on PC, I'm not sure Destiny will be any different.

I'd totally be the first to buy a PC version of Destiny 2, provided its a significantly better game than the first. I don't know what internal strife and mismanagement lead to Destiny 1 being such a mediocre game, but I'm about as skeptical as I can be toward Bungee, now.

As much as I hated Destiny when it was released, and then started playing again after the release of RoI, I am pumped and can't wait.

Really excited to see what they've done for the reboot. Destiny's evolution was pretty remarkable over the past couple years, and there were a lot of hints where Bungie might be going with this.

It will be on steam I GUARANTEE.

Unless they are going the blizzard way and creating their portal for it where you can play any Activision game.

I really hope they do this right. The gunplay in the original was just perfect and there are fewer things I've enjoyed as much as attempting Destiny's raids with my friends for the first time.

More raids, areas, and stories, please.

I really wanted to like Destiny, but I ended up being more of a Warframe guy. I just couldn't bring myself to be interested in the Destiny world.

Also, if you want me to take your story of a massive alien threat seriously, don't give everyone stupid dance emotes.

The flight plan I just filed with the agency list me, my men, Dr. Pavel here. But only one of you!
Pretty cool. I am definitely interested and I guess cautiously optimistic to see what's up. Destiny was definitely a mixed bag for me, a combination of cool, fun stuff I really dug and disappointing/half-baked stuff that left me sour. If the sequel iterates on the former while mitigating the latter I will be pretty pumped.

If this comes to PC too there is a high possibility that it runs @ 60 FPS on consoles.

60 FPS on PC but only 30 FPS on consoles would be weird. This would raise a shitstorm and would be bad publicity for Bungie.

Wait till people find out the PC version is locked at 30

I'm going to assume the port will be handled by Raven Software and they've had a great PC track record.

But that's complete speculation on my part. Watch them use Iron Galaxy or something lol

My bet is their own launcher.

Yeah, I'd lean towards this. Mostly because they have Blizzard to help on that front, they historically ran their own service before they became a console developer (and are actually running the Halo 1 PC gamelist service now - no joke), and it'd give them complete control top down.

I'm very skeptical about this.
Considering how Activision ruined COD with pay2win microtransactions, what's stopping Activision doing the same thing with Destiny 2?

If it's only cosmetics like in Overwatch, great, but we'll see.
I think it's safe to assume that Destiny 2 is going to have lootboxes too, because it's a new goldmine.

I'm glad that PC version is finally happening, 60fps is a must for shooter imo.

I think i'll jump on the Destiny train now especially as the HD twins are no longer holding the game back design-wise
