There was UE4 mark at the end of the trailer so I assume it uses it?
ooohh..

Again, it doesn't have to be severely downgraded. Just look at the most recent ports of games on the three systems. The PRO obviously is gonna have more bells and whistles, but the NS version can and would look great still. You're really understating what the system can do. But it doesn't matter, if Square Enix wants to port the game...they will. I think they will, honestly.
Hey you're free to believe what you want man. No animosity here. But I'm just saying, I don't think it's happening unless they downgrade it. We'll see I guess.
Always said KH3 was going to hit Switch - many posters got really offended by even suggesting the possibility lol.
Open World titles ala DQ XI/Xenoblade 2 are possible but a downgraded KH3 is impossible ? Doesnt really add up in my book - but we will see.
Back on topic,
I'd like to see Persona 5 on this. That's not pushing any graphical capabilities and I understand Sony has exclusivity on the mainline Persona's, but damn do I wish I could play Persona 5 on the game. I love it so much but taking it on the go and playing it anywhere I want, that would be amazing.
Another one I'd like on the go is Dark Souls. Dark Souls would be a party taking it everywhere. Dying everywhere.
That's about all I can think of right now. Everything else I'm fine with playing on PS4 since they look and run better. But I think these two can run on the system and still look good.
It's funny how a majority of people are assuming ports and not new Unreal Engine 4 games.
Lol how is that on topic?
Did I see a post just like this a few days ago? That one was shot down fast too.
I'm not sure there are actually 20 total publicly announced and/or released Japanese Unreal Engine 4 games, especially once we remove tech-demo or VR things, so nigh assuredly there are new ones as well, yes.
You can shoot it down as much as you want with whatever you want. Fact of the matter is the system isn't powerful enough to run these games. And one that I constantly see being portbegged is a timed and most likely permanent exclusive so I'm not sure why that's even brought up.
KH3 is possible. But I don't think it's happening. FFXV I just don't see happening due to Luminous being a much more powerful and versatile engine than UE4.
Gotta be Ni3r.
That's because you mostly only consider the usual Third party from the 3ds.My guesses:
Senran Kagura
Dynasty Warriors 9
Monster Hunter 5
Story of Seasons
Etrian Odyssey 6
Etrian Mystery Dungeon 3
Bravely 3
Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 4
Ace Attorney 7
Inazuma Eleven Ares
I know none of these games would not require an engine as advanced as UE4, but I can't think of any other Japanese games that are possibly in dev right now.
Persona 5 doesn't even use UE4.
And the switch being able to separate out the joycons for multiplayer makes it to where portable fighting games become even more appealing.Really hoping Tekken and MvC Infinite make it over to Switch. Something about fighting games on portables just does it for me.
For some reason I thought the VIIR remake was in UE4 but it seems I was mistaken there hasn't been an engine announced for it.

I think they actually announced that they will use Silicon Studio's Orochi 4 and Mizuchi engine for VIIR.
Lol I was just saying games I'd like on the Switch. Didn't mean UE4 games specifically. Though I think DS3 would run on UE4 if it came to the Switch.
What's the update on that Dark Souls rumor? Wasn't it happening?

Unless something changed....
I don't know if they're all just saying what they'd want the Switch to be, but some people really like to think the Switch can't handle any "impressive" game. This isn't a fact as you (neither us) don't know how powerful the system is exactly and how demanding the games are.

I believe KH3 can run on switch.
I mean KH BBS on the psp can look close or even better than KH2 on the ps2.

I think they've talking about Neptunia, not Final Fantasy.
Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite
Tekken 7
By the way, does Fate Extella/Nights of Azure 2/Senran Kagura uses Unreal Engine 4 ? They were recently announced for Switch.

What ports? There aren't any high end games on the Switch that are also available on the PS4 and Xbox One. You've got some indie games and some mid-tier Japanese games. But as of now the higher end games aren't being released at all on the Switch. So, it's impossible to say how one of those games on the Switch would hold up against the same game on the PS4 or Xbox One.
Tekken 7
Yeah we were talking about Neptunia VIIR, not FFVIIR. Didn't realize they have same "VIIR" so it could confuse people lol.
what
Cutting or toning down graphical effects and resolution can go a long way to scale down with proper engine support. This is not like the Wii U or 3DS situation in which most modern game engines wasn't able to run on those systems. You can shoot it down as much as you want with whatever you want. Fact of the matter is the system isn't powerful enough to run these games. And one that I constantly see being portbegged is a timed and most likely permanent exclusive so I'm not sure why that's even brought up.

quoting for future useFFVII:R is never coming to Switch. It's "First on PS4" Sony has full timed exclusivity for the foreseeable future. Until all parts are out on PS4 it's not going anywhere. And the more likely scenario is that it's going to be PS4/PC only. Sony has their hand in it. People need to keep their expectations in check. This one is not happening.
As for KH3, that's possible since it's already on Xbox but the issue with that at its current state it would break the Switch because it's too weak. It's pretty much a slightly more powerful Wii U. Unless they severely downgrade it it's not happening.
I know people keep making that "UE4 scalable!" excuse but that's not how it works. My phone can run UE4. The Switch being able to run UE4 means jack shit. It uses a mobile processor and mobile chip. Come on guys.
Is it possible? Maybe. Is it going to happen? Probably not. It's the same with FFXV. The game is simply too powerful to run on this system. Expect more low end ports of FFXIII or something or mostly 7th gen 3rd Party games. This system isn't getting any graphically extensive AAA 3rd Party support from this generation. So stuff like FFXV, Red Dead Redemption 2, The Witcher 3, etc. You should pretty much rule out of every single major AAA 3rd Party game.
Again, keep your expectations in check. NIntendo fans do this to themselves every generation and you just end up back at the start. Being a Nintendo fan since the beginning I understand what you go through but please keep your expectations in check. Predict and ask for things that are likely to happen. Don't ask for the impossible because you will be disappointed at what's actually going to happen.
It's funny how a majority of people are assuming ports and not new Unreal Engine 4 games.
No animosity while going on an incorrect notion that how UE4 is supported on the Switch is the same as mobile UE4 for iOS.
Lol bad example.
I mean the art style and the way they make KH games makes it feel like they can make it amazing and similar looking even if the graphical ability is different on two platforms.

Sadly that's 3.5. Hope they upgrade to 4 though probably nothing stopping them either wayGuilty Gear plz
Apparently Switch's CPU is roughly 40% of PS4's at best case scenario docked.
Running games at that scale is going to be a challenge especially to account for handheld mode without cutbacks, especially for games already in development based around PS4 and not taking switch into account.
KHBBS's comparison is stupid because the game itself is nowhere near the actual scale or fidelity of KH2 period, just certain environments have a good art style and character models can look similar up close.
Crisis core is also a good example. Sometimes it can look visually like PS2 but literally every combat zone is 2 feet wide and encompasses hallways worse than FF13
Well it's on the XB1 so that would indicate it'd be up to Square, not SonyKingdom Hearts just makes too much sense. Nintendo and Disney is la natural partnership as it gets.
I doubt Sony would allow it. It would open the gates for their overall demise in the Japanese market.
FF7 remake on Switch is never never happening. Switch is far too weak.I'm more and more confident that it's coming. The recent Square Enix comment about porting everything they can to Switch, including future and already existing titles pointed toward this direction.
