Double push on the power button will launch it. Not sure if I had to enable that in the camera settings or not though.
Yes this works, thank you!

Just plug the phone into the Gear VR and it will start downloading the Oculus app and support apps automatically (and you'll have to take it back out again while it does that but hey ho).
Been using the S8+ for a week now, great phone. Took it on a trip to Texas this weekend, took some great photos with it:

WTF, mine is still listed as under review, and I submitted it first thing yesterday morning. ;_;
Should I call them?

Woe is me.I got lucky and was able to register Wednesday night. There are probably a lot of pending promotions now.
YESThis is the first time I'm getting to experience the always on clock display and it is freaking lovely.
Woe is me.
YES
I had it turned off on my S7 because of battery life issues, but oh my god it's amazing.
OLED is the fucking future. Brilliant technology.

Oh no don't say that, does it really use a lot of battery having it always on?
I always thought the 6 edge felt too sharp in the hands. My first impression is that this doesn't look or feel quite as high quality as my old S6 edge..
The always on display is a nice touch
No, it barely uses any at all. In fact, in standby mode, my total battery drain is 1-3% per hour depending on what I have running (Spotify, etc.)Oh no don't say that, does it really use a lot of battery having it always on?
I think I was just hesitant because I was running my battery down pretty quickly. Probably unreasonable of me, maybe, but I felt the need to horde my battery if I was planning on going all day without a charge. It barely uses any battery. I think it's like 1% per hour. I've never had any issues on my S7.
Define "good credit." Even when my credit was shit (less than 650), they never required a down payment from me. They have generally been great to me.Ugh seeing that even though I have good credit Verizon wanted a 50% down payment on the phone! Fuck that went to t mobile they only wanted a 100. Plus they gave me a case and screen protector. Fuck Verizon, I've been with them ever since they bought out Alltel
You get a better CPU and GPU if benchmarks are to be believed in lolDo use brits not get snapdragon? 😭
oooYou get a better CPU and GPU if benchmarks are to be believed in lol
same modem though
I wanted the S8 plus, but I couldn't justify the $130 down with a possible Note in a few months. I know I'll get the Note, so I went with the regular S8.Was able to walk into Tmobile and do JOD for S8+ midnight black. Beautiful phone.
I don't even have a second thought now.

http://m.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_s8_plus-review-1602p6.phpAre there any benchmarks out yet comparing this to the S7, Pixel, or iPhone 7?
So what's the deal with the packed in earbuds? They honestly sound awful to me. I don't know if mine are defective or what. I see everyone praising them, but mine have zero bass and sound super tinny. I'll admit I'm no audiophile, but I think my old ones that came with my Galaxy S6 sound far superior.
I tried messing around with the sound profiles and upping the bass, but that just makes everything sound muffled.
I seem to be the only one that dislikes them though. Am I missing something?

Very has despatched my phone and case. Still says Friday 28th, but surely it'll come earlier? Just needs to arrive at yodel and they usually bring it the next day.

idk dude, i listen to some bassy stuff and i hear the bass nice and clear. Here is what i did.
Settings > Sound and Vibration >Sound Quality and Effects
UHQ upscaler on.
I also did some sound personalization and went into the Adapt Sound section. there i went to advanced section on the bottom and went through the steps. They play beeps and you hit yes or no if you hear it. i know i couldnt hear a lot of them LOL.
Yeah I did all of that as well. Maybe my old pair (the S6 pack in earbuds) were too heavy on bass and I just got used to it. I just feel like everything is high pitched and tinny. All I can think of is that they have to be faulty because I can't imagine anyone saying these are great. Not saying anyone who likes them is wrong, just that my pair sound awful.

That should be more than enough. Not sure what's going on there, must be some other stipulation at work. It's at 703 (that's good right?) I'm not sure if it's because I just recently broke off my family plan and went solo or what

Reading online, it just seems like the YouTube app is a bit shit, don't know whether it can be helped without an update.
I'm not super impressed with the headphones by the way. They're plenty clear and I usually loathe in ear phones, but the ergonomics of these are all right, but there seems to be no bass whatsoever. Glad I didn't pay 100 for them. Free is good though (though I'd have much preferred gear VR).
This sounds like maybe you aren't getting a great seal. Usually a sign of a bad seal is a lack of bass and tinny sound. Try the other included ear tips. The included earbuds are nothing extraordinary but they are definitely better than the ones included with other phones I've bought.
