SOMA is a masterpiece of the genre. It plays out one of the most atmospheric and compelling narratives in a game that I've ever experienced. I would highly recommend it at full price, let alone $9. Play it at night, alone, with the lights off and let it get under your skin.

Tense on occasion but not really scary. It's a great experience outside of anything resembling dealing with monsters. Felt like a forced holdover from Amnesia that didn't fit as cleanly here.

From what I'm reading, still broken. Bugs, crashes and career mode deleting your saves. Squad replaced the developers who did the original port late last year but I'm struggling to find any update news.
