It's time

I'm so ready to continue to be super hopeful with the future of SEGA, then consistently disappointed. So ready.

Man, seeing "PHANTASY STAR" and the PSO2 logo in an English SEGA slide makes me just... sad.

Is Virtua Fighter considered big?
Jk I'm dying for a new VF :(

Also what are the Sega IPs with broader appeal? I love almost of all them but my taste are so much different than today audience's...

I'm not takin Sega seriously again until I get a console western release of a new PSO game and a port / sequel to Skies of Arcadia. Blows my mind they ignored these franchises after all their constant stuttering with Sonic.

I was wondering if Sega really had any commitment in trying to aggressively grow their gaming business recently and it seems they still are. Bringing down each part for the packaged gaming sector.

I'd be interested to know what their definition of a middle hit and big hit is, I'd assume one is in the vicinity of a million seller and the other is a multimillion seller. Something Sega needs to focus on for the future health of the company, they've got plenty of moderate hits but only Sonic (At least pre 2013) and Total War are the only mulitmillion selling series they have. Maybe soon Persona will join that club, seems the company is hoping it would with the global hits slide and looks like Re fantasy will be viewed in similar fashion within the company. With the absence of Yakuza there I'm predicting that Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio might move on from that series and try to create another global IP like they did with Binary Domain, hopefully more successful this time.

I think an interesting part of the presentation is "Build revenue base by being entrusted with outsourced development" all those people who want F-Zero GX 2 know what to do! :p

Only 3 mentions of House of the Dead in 9 pages.

GAF this is why arcades are dead.

House of the Dead 5, lets go. Moon, High Priestess, and Devil time.
Shinobi revival by Platinum. Let's fucking DO this.

This is fascinating idea, but I feel part of Shinobi that is crucial to its identity is the great blend of platforming and action (at least from what I played of Shinobi 3D, which was great). Platforming in Platinum games has never excited me.

Gimmie a real super monkey ball 3

I want to to want to break my controller and throw myself out a window due to my sheer incompetence

Edit: consoles can accept keyboard inputs. Gimmie typing of the dead 2

Edit 2: I've always wanted to play burning rangers

*Dusts off the ol' Sega revival list:

Streets of Rage
Panzer Dragoon
Shinobi
Nights Into Dreams
Gunvalkyrie
Golden Axe
Phantasy Star (Single Player Robust RPG not that MMO nonsense)
After Burner
Clockwork Knight
Otogi
Sega Rally Championship

Yeah a lot of people who want Shinobi revived just think it needs a deep combat engine and call it a day but Shinobi wasn't just fighting off flying demon ninjas. The things that killed you most in those games weren't the enemies, it was the traps and bottomless pits and a Platinum Shinobi won't be what I want unless they nail the platforming.

Sonic Boom was a major mistake, so as long as they go for a very different creative team in NA (which shouldn't be hard), it should be interesting to see.

Man, a new Skies of Arcadia would be amazing. Think of a Xenoblade scale JRPG with airship battling. Oh no now I need it.

I'm sure this has been asked before. But why has skies of arcadia never been remastered or put on modern platforms?
