*Lana Kane voice:YUP*Seriously tho that's real? Tony's playing Flash Thompson?
That's fucking great.
I don't get it, doesn't Venom kind of depend on Spiderman for a narrative? Isn't there gonna have to be another Spiderman separate from the Homecoming version present in this film?
Pretty sure there is no reason why Tom Holland's Spider-Man couldn't be in this or have this version of Venom be in the sequal to Homecoming.
The deal basically broke down to Marvel can have spidey in Cap 3 and Avengers movies and Sony would get no cut of the revenue but Sony still gets to make Spider-Man movies and they also don't have to pay Disney anything either. Spider-Man Homecoming is a Sony movie so I assume it's part of the "Sony Marvel Universe" while also being in the Marvel universe.
Where the fuck is my Aunt May movie.

Slay, don't make people give you a tongue LASHing.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOSony has confirmed that Hardy is Brock.

Shame. Would've loved Thompson Venom.
Sure Sony, go ahead and ruin the only good thing you've got going right now.
Where the fuck is my Aunt May movie.
This could be real cool.
He pulled out of Suicide Squad, though, so who knows if he stays in.
still amazed they thought of doing that
Didn't Sony's last try at Venom happen 10 years ago?
Where the fuck is my Aunt May movie.
A Venom movie with no Spiderman? Who's gonna stop him?
A Venom movie with no Spiderman? Who's gonna stop him?
I'm confused
They could cast a full CGI Spider Man you know right? Totally different costume from MCU one , older etc.
They dont need to explain one bit either since it wont be spidey movie
I don't know if something that old really matters anymore. Plus I don't really think Venom's that necessary to the MCU, but I can empathize if you were really looking forward to having him show up somewhere (I wouldn't though because of the Marvel track record with villains dying after their movie appearance).we all rememver sony's last try at Venom
plus this means Venom wont be in the mcu
Obviously
Didn't they already? The Spider-Man movies weren't in MCU before homecoming. And what about X-men/FF/GR/Blade.. Ok I'll stopSo Marvel will now have two cinematic universes?
Okay.
A Venom movie with no Spiderman? Who's gonna stop him?

Huh.
So what if they worked a deal where Sony-verse is Miles and MCU-verse is Parker?
I don't think they would need to do that. From reading this thread I don't think people understand Sony still has the film rights they can do whatever they want with this current version of Spider-Man in standalone films (which Homecoming is). Everytime Spidey is in a Marvel produced movie there is a deal for the character to be there.
Imagine if Sony had the balls to make Scarlet Spider be the stand-in for Spider-Man with their universe.
Yeah I don't know why people are saying Holland won't be in Venom where all I've seen is just speculation and couldn't find it confirmed or reported anywhere
Nobody is going to see a Venom movie without Spider-Man guys. Nobody would dare try to create a Venom movie without Spider-Man, even Sony's dumbass
