Data miner X-Kira says that he found additional, unannounced features that would be locked to be activated in a later date.

These features would be:
  • Extra Battle
  • Dojo Mode (preliminary version, on-line training)
  • General Story Vol. 2 (cinematic story)

The additions available for everybody since the update release would be:
  • CFN update
  • Season 2 balance patch
  • Training config now will be saved
  • Ed
  • Temple Hideout stage (Bison classic stage)
  • Flamenco "Taberna de las flores / Flowers Inn" tavern stage (Vega classic stage)
  • Trials Vol. 2
  • Demonstration Vol. 2
  • Additional Capcom Pro Tour 2017 targets

Let's hope it's true, I'd love to play a 2nd season of the Cinematic Story mode, and even more if battles have 3 Rounds with non-dumb difficulty. And let's hope they unlock the content just after Sony's E3 conference. And well, please release the fucking Arcade Mode. Remember that according to PSN trophis a lot of SFV -plus most fighting games-
players almost don't play online.

In a separated, unrelated note recently he also claimed that the stages that as of now remain as cinematic story mode exclusive would be included in the shop soon (he doesn't mention that would be included in the next update):

Another story mode is coming? Shit, I'm down for that... last one was hilariously bonkers. Not sure what more there is to cover though.

And still no basic ass Arcade mode. =x

Beyond the name, what would that even add that isn't already covered in the game at this point?

Did he?

And the only thing I remember him being correct about is the location of Rashid's stage. That was really about it.
He said Dubai & Spain, both of which we got. But there's also that wrestling ring thing that never happened.

And still no basic ass Arcade mode. =x
I'm pretty sure Arcade Mode is coming, between the various rumors & datamining pointing towards the mode. It's more of a when than an if, in my opinion.

I really hope they are not wasting time on another story mode. The first one was abysmal and was absolutely not needed.

Priorities. I doubt that many people will come back just for arcade mode.
At least there is single player (which I would imagine it is extra battle, story mode and others)

I would come back, and all single player modes currently available are horrible.

Reason I gave away my copy of the LE was due to no Arcade... if there was one introduced, I may even be inclined to pick up Season2, just sayin'.

x-kira also brought us this which never came true

According to Capcom there is an upcoming Capcom Pro Tour 2017 stage. Who knows, it may be an early version or a stage for the 2nd season of the story mode. Or maybe it's canned stuff, maybe Capcom was working on it and canceled it.

The CPT 2017 stage would probably be more CPT-themed & not based on the CWA.

Yep. It's been 15 months and they still haven't added one of the most basic SP features of the genre to this game, smh.

I won't go anywhere near MvC:I until I see every SP feature that will be included in that game from day 1. Capcom fooled me once with SFV.

The first story mode wasn't that bad, I'll buy volume 2. Bring on Gill and Sean. I wouldn't give it away for free. Sell it Capcom.

To be fair, Capcom was pretty clear on what was there on Day 1.

The minute I heard about this, I thought to myself "please don't be X-kira leaking this".

Oh well. Maybe this will finally be the thing that allows us to either fully trust him/her or write him/her off completely.

IMO X-kira hasn't hit enough home runs to be getting articles on EH...but, then again that's EH.

How exactly were you fooled by them? It's not like they said it would be there then it wasn't. That one's on you.

Not that I'm defending the game, but that's just a silly thing to say.

Not really. They showed a trailer that a lot of people just thought was going through the features based on the beta and that obvious stuff (including the arcade mode) will be there day 1.

Not to mention their promise about Extra Battle "coming soon after release" on their road map, which was completely ignored.

The story mode stages better be free after beating story mode or at least less than 40K FM.

70K I can understand for the special new stages, but 40K FM for a bunch of stage variants is ridiculous

Take X-kira's word with a grain if salt. He has made up thing's like Dan's Dojo and DLC stages having transition last year.

IF Story Mode 2 is real it would be a giant waste. At least I hope Capcom USA got a deal from whoever they outsource that to.

CWA stage looks like it could be one of the story mode stages they mentioned coming to the store or it could just be a mod. Online training mode is a welcome addition though

I would definitely come back if they would just get off their lazy asses and put in an Arcade mode. How can they be so thick??

I am genuinely curious why people are happy over this decision? Just enjoy people complaining?
There's 0 reason for an arcade mode to exist in a game that... doesn't exist in arcades. Character story is the exact same thing as arcade mode except without the ability for people to press start and challenge you, and I guess a normal boss and a secret boss(es).

Capcom has way bigger problems to fix with SFV than the lack of an arcade mode.

Some people don't like having an Arcade mode in a fighting game. I know a few posters in earlier threads (early as in 10-12 months ago) were very much against it, since they thought it wouldn't add anything worthwhile to the game.

To be fair, they actually weren't. Let's not pretend like they were all of a sudden.

Lack of Arcade mode was a surprise to everyone who hadn't gotten their hands on the final release of the game (or following certain streamers/users in the community) before day 1, and Capcom did not outright communicate about lack or arcade mode or vs cpu before launch either.

And before someone posts the Modes video. That video did not mention Versus at all which led to "well arcade was probably not mentioned for the same reason versus wasn't, as it's a standard mode". So yeah, not "pretty clear" at all actually.
