For those going this year, was a fun experience last year.

Theater was packed, watching E3 on a giant screen with very loud speakers (Because they where streaming it not sure if surround sound is accurate description).

Since it was a little bit of a drive and no confirmed seating passing on it this year. Few general codes (Drawn to Death, cant remember rest), card and poster.

There is confirmed seating this year. They changed that today.

People forget but the very first year had us getting Destiny Alpha Codes . . . and guess what is coming this year

Forgot about this happening yesterday and just skimming the thread I see Sony's new ticket website shit itself. I'm guessing that's it for tickets or should I keep trying?

Now that the majority of us have tickets, I wanted to confirm this: the first hour of the event (5 PM PST) is probably pre-show stuff, right? Seeing as how the conference is scheduled for 6 PM PST? Asking cause I won't be getting there right when it begins.

First hour is pre-show, however they also said if you're not 30 minutes early you might not be able to get in, even if you do have tickets. They didn't specify if that 30 minutes included the pre-show or not.

Super Fucking disappointed in how this shitshow unfurled. Four friends and I refreshed religiously the last few days and all we got is waitlisted for the Toronto show. Alas.

Is there any hope to Keep refreshing and trying?

Anyone going to Nashville? Want to grab a drink or dinner beforehand?

And since tickets are no longer named, I grabbed two but my wife said she's not up for it this year, as last year was a letdown for her. So I have an extra spot for someone.

I know F4r0_Atak might still have 2 extra tickets for Montreal. Hit him up!

I'm going with my girlfriend but if she decides to stay home, I'll be available to meet some of MontrealGAF.

Did you get waitlisted after 1:30pm PST yesterday? Were you able to navigate through the site just fine after that point and when you arrived at the Toronto sign ups it told you to join the waitlist? In that case it might just be full. But you should still arrive super early and try to get in! But if you entered the waitlist anytime before that point, it might actually have seats! Try again! Keep refreshing!

But with a big city like Toronto, I could see how it might actually be full. Good luck though!

Once again for the NYC peeps, quote to reveal the NYC GAF Discord channel link. Conversely, feel free to PM either me, Penguin, Bdubs, or Kanik your Discord name to be added to the chat:

This was bullshit. I have gone the last two years and even with the debacle last year still got tickets. It's full now.

When exactly did it start working?

Yesterday they relaunched at 1:30 PDT. After another hour of refreshes people in droves were able to get passes.

Honestly, it was never "working". Gofobo took like another 30 minutes after 1:30 PT because of us getting a backdoor thanks to a RefreshGAF member Shao Kahn), they changed links. So we were getting invalids codes for a good 30 minutes. The original links ended with numbers, they changed it to letters. It ended up being an issue because we could get to the ticket page but when you hit process it would give you errors, because they took too long to get the last page's URL link changed. so like 2:00 PM PT was when it worked really.

Nice I was going to show up an hour early just to be safe. Got two tickets but I just noticed it's the same time as the NBA finals. Guess I'll just miss the first half.

Thanks for the info.

Please notice this line.

If you received a ticket confirmation email you are guaranteed a seat at the event if you present your valid ticket at least 30 minutes before show time.

If you show up halfway through the show, it's probably going to be full.

I know it says that clear as day but I still feel like you should get there before 5:30. Hopefully I'm being paranoid and they really did just give out exactly as many tickets as each theater could hold, but I feel like if I show up at 5:30 and there is a huge line they're just going to point at the disclaimer printed on the ticket that says "first come, first served" and "this ticket does not guarantee you a seat."

Just a lot of miscommunication in general. The ticket says that vs what the blog says, and if you go to the site now for full events it says "NOTE: Please do not show up at the event without a pass. Joining the wait list only provides an opportunity to receive a pass if we send you an email. Arriving without a pass will not allow access to the event."

I'm really sorry your theater is full man, seriously. But I will say... this thread is on 95 pages, up from the single digits just a couple days ago. RefreshGAF has been updating it nearly constantly and there has hardly been a minute where it wasn't somewhere on the front page. If you weren't popping in occasionally to check the status of the ticket sign-ups, I don't know what to tell you.

It was exceptionally shitty this year -- exceptionally -- but there were three times people were able to get tickets: shortly after it went live two days ago, later that night around 8pm PST, and yesterday at 1:30pm PST through a long time after that (some theaters still have tickets today). Sony posted on their official Twitter two nights ago that they would be giving updated instructions on how to get tickets "tomorrow" (yesterday) after the botched launch so people knew to be ready and alert. Then they posted on Twitter again yesterday midday and updated the PS Blog post with the time they'd be reopening the ticket signups (1:30pm PST). At this point, the thread was so active it never left the top of the front page until shortly after most people in the thread had gotten their tickets and the most dedicated among us migrated to Discord (since we bonded so much through this experience).

Again, I'm sorry you didn't get tickets and Gofobo certainly botched the rollout, but there was ample opportunity to secure yourself a pair if you were actually looking out for it.

I just want to emphasize these points. We were all here for about 10 hours plus and ended up making a small community out of it. I know a lot of people don't have that time, but if you were even here for 5-10 minutes, you would of been instantly in the loop and aware of what was going on. I'm not trying to sound mean or anything, but I'm just trying to say we were here and this thread was literally live for about 24 hours straight with people chatting and finding out news or spreading news to people who previously weren't in the loop.

This year wasn't easy at all. Last year was so much better. and that's saying something considering EventGrid was lagging or would be bad for the first 30 minutes. This website was absolutely garbage. Gofobo basically was offline for nearly 5-7 hours. It sucks that your theater was full, maybe you could find a RefreshGaffer who can bring you as a plus 1.

Yeah! What city are you in? There are a number of RefreshGaffers with an extra ticket or two.

Got my ticket to Buffalo. Sat through some awful f5 on Tuesday, like 2 hours, like many of you. Stopped by yesterday and still hit with invalid codes. Basically gave up. Thank you Buffalo for being a small city. Gaffers, bring your Switches and we can get some ad-hoc kart going if there is a line.

When are people planning on lining up? Half hour before the conference starts or half hour before the pre-show starts?

Guys, this thread has 13 more pages than the actual Sony E3 Conference announcement thread (where you think all the hype would be contained). Hahahahaha
