Okay, so when are we getting our GW Cat Legend, Wizards? Because that looks hella sweet.
No Cat Legend will ever beat our Lord and Savior of the Cats.

A wheel with the land exert drawback would essentially still be a wheel for all intent and purposes. No one cares about the drawback when you win in the same turn.

I could see a "take an extra turn" effect, a sort of last stand/final fortune effect variant. It would be reasonably strong and playable in the right deck. But since it would be a good card , it'd be blue.

Wheel effects in general aren't even that interesting. Drawing 7 with some drawbacks it's almost always gonna be abused in combo lists and unplayed everywhere else.

I was thinking of shifting my Naya cube's focus to Dinosaurs with Ixalan (it has a token and equipment theme right now), but this lion works pretty nice since I already have Brimaz and was going to add Adorned Pouncer.

Wow, that lion is nutty in limited. Talk about clogging up the board.

God, I'm gonna have to face someone in draft that lucks out and gets this and Regal Caracal in one deck, aren't I?
Ugh, that's gonna suck. Especially since it's an Instant Speed Ability that stacks, so Blocks, Pay W, give my blocker +2/+2 and get 2 1/1 cats.

What I wouldn't mind

Hazoret's Last X 1RR

Sorcery

Discard your hand. Draw 7 cards.
Lands you control don't untap
during your next untap phase.

What i'm expecting

Hazoret's Last Poop 1RR

Sorcery

Discard your hand. Exile the top
card of your library. You may play it until
until the end of the turn. Your lands don't
untap during your next untap phase.

Put a creature card from your hand into play. Lands you control don't untap during your next untap step.

I'm okay with ruining standard some more.

I mean, wheel effects have to work for both players.

But seriously I could see something like this for the green one:

Rhonas' Last Call
G - Instant
You may cast creature cards this turn as though they had flash. Lands you control don't untap during your next untap step.

Yah, the idea is that you can do it for all creature cards that turn. So you could surprise dump all your dudes at the end of their turn or during their combat phase.

And be closer to the power level instant/sorceries are at right now.

Search your library for a creature card, reveal it, and it into your hand. Then shuffle your library. Lands you control don't untap during your next untap step.

You don't ever have a bunch of creatures in your hand and enough mana to cast them and this spell.

Maybe this:

Search your deck for a green creature card with CMC X or less and put into play. Lands you control don't untap next untap phase.

a crappy GSZ.

Do they? Chandra Flamecaller doesn't. Also, the 'don't untap' clause is enough for me to break from this, if they went this route.

That's not a wheel. Collective Defiance already does that specific effect for that cost.

Maybe a removal spell?

Rhonas's Last Piss
2G

Put two -1/-1 tokens on target creature.

Target creature you control fights target creature you don't control.

Lands don't untap during your next untap phase.

The red version is going to be relentless assault.

I dunno if they're gonna want to do a version where you just immediately win and never have to deal with the drawback. And Relentless Assault is already only like 4 mana.

No way, the green ones probably going to be:

Rhonas's Last Marvel

Look at the top six cards of your library. You may cast a creature card from among them without paying its mana cost.

Maybe

Rhonas's Plow Under

1GG

Put two target lands on top of their owner's library.
Your lands don't untap.

I LOVE Plow Under. I once Plow Under into Regrowth Plow Under and I had Eternal Witness on my hand for the third time but I won before it mattered.

Rhonas's Last Craterhoof 3GG

Creature- God Beast
When You cast Rhonas's Last Craterhoof, creatures you control get +5/+5 and trample until end of turn.

Trample, Haste

Rhona's Last Stand 1GG

in limited my whole goal is going to be mirage mirror + sandwurm convergence

do copies also mirror the status of the card they are copying? If you use it on say an exerted Glorybringer is the copy also exerted or can you attack with it right away?

The copiable values of an object are its name, mana cost, color indicator, card type, subtype, supertype, rules text, power, toughness, and loyalty. You generally copy cards as they are printed and not subject to things modifying them.

When you copy something, only the printed stats and abilities of the card are copied. Counters, auras, extra abilities, etc. are not copied. So it would not count as exerted.

If you copy a Glorybringer and then exert the copy, it will remain tapped on your next turn even though it's no longer a Glorybringer.

Edit: Apparently Loyalty is a type of counter that is copy-able, according to Grimace above. My info is out of date on that

I believe he was referring to starting loyalty, which only matters as it enters the battlefield. If the mirror could copy planeswalkers, it would go to the graveyard right away, because counters wouldn't be placed on it.

No, it means the loyalty a Planeswalker enters the battlefield with. If you use Clever Impersonator on a Planeswalker, it has to copy that value or it would enter with 0 and die as a state-based action. That's also why the flipwalkers exile themselves - if you transformed Jace, Vryn's Prodigy with Moonmist, he would die because he would have no loyalty since a transformed card doesn't enter the battlefield.

Starting to think that art IS lightning strike.
Think bigger. It's Lightning Bolt! Strike being too good for Standard is hilarious though. These knuckleheads are so heavily invested in the idea nothing should ever get answered because it "feels bad."

The blue one seems close.
I feel like they'd go with something splashier than burn for red, but the cost seems in line with the two we've seen.
Green might be too good. Attacking for 9 on turn 3 (with a mana dork) is a lot more aggressive than the other cards. Maybe it'd be a super-Regrowth? Or Urban Evolution?
