And the games keep coming. My wallet can't keep up.
Hahahahaha
That's not happening with Pokémon.
Didn't they say more than a year off in the direct anyway doesn't sound like 2018 to me
hyperton
no footage and only 12-18 months away

Why not? A year and a half after launch with Ultra reusing most assets. Seems like they have had some time
We got Black and White then the sequels. A year later we got X/YEverything lines up to it being 2019.
Because it doesn't fit how they do generations or the progression of the generation outside the Mythical Pokémon.
Tell me lies
Tell me sweet little lies
Eh I don't see it but I guess. They had no problem showing a title for metriod and putting 2018 for Kirby and yoshiHolidays 2018 is over a year away.
I believe Pokemon way more than I believe Metroid tbh

Makes Next Level Games even more likely: by then it's three years since they've finished MPFF.
Holy shit if true
Another 2 GOTY candidates for Nintendo in 2018?
Pokemon, if they use the BOTW engine, my jaw will drop on the floor. It's got the perfect artistic style for Pokemon imo.
Maybe it's a mistake? I just can't believe that Metroid is slated for 2018 when they had nothing to show. Pokemon is more believable, it makes sense they don't want to show the Switch game until Ultra Sun/Moon are out.
I think it will. We know it's been in development a while.Hahahahaha

I wouldn't. Not with the anime's progression as it is.
There is no way in hell they're jumping to a new device in the middle of a Pokémon generation. That is not happening and people need to stop expecting that to happen.
Calling bullshit on both. They didn't even have a title screen reveal for Pokémon.
2 years since Omega RubyIt took them 3 years to make Sun/Moon. I don't know if they could crank out an HD game in just 2 years.
I wonder why they wouldn't say it was Next Level if this is the case.
Pokémon Sun and Moon got a logo reveal and came out in the same yearCalling bullshit on both. They didn't even have a title screen reveal for Pokémon.
They had to line Zelda with Switch launch.
Maybe it's the kind of thing that could be interpreted different ways, but while he's definitely saying Metroid is planned for next year, the "a new Pokemon has been announced" sounds like a separate statement to me. I'll be really surprised if they cut Gen 7 off before 2019.
They announced Fire Emblem for 2018 with nothing to show.
They said new core title I would hope it's not a remakeWe *could* get another game set in Alola or even gen IV remakes next spring. Why does it have to be the 8th generation?
Why technically? They only showed a title saying "Fire Emblem" and "2018" and that's it. The same thing as Metroid but with a year and not even something aking to the space zoom in to the S like Metroid had. They announced Fire Emblem for 2018 with nothing to show.

Generations tend to last three years, and Sun/Moon came out last year. It's not impossible, but it would be highly unusual.
I'll believe it when i see it
I'll be stunned if Metroid hits 2018. If they use Breath of the Wild's engine I could see it, but I'm not sure they will.
