What do you mean exactly by interesting screens? Is this in reference to my last post?

I really want to know who this artist is. First half was mostly outsourced to TAP, outside of the little bit Tate did, but most of it was corrected by chief supervisor Ide, but this isn't him. We saw 2 new animators show up in the 2nd key animation role in this episode, Yuki Osada, who worked on Tiger Mask, and Ishikawa Shunsuke, who doesn't have a huge animation resume.

The arena being destroyed , Goku hitting caulifla that you mentioned yes. I think I saw 17 kick someone on the potato quality too.

Tate did the Gohan scene? It looks like his.

If you find out I would be interested to know well

Yes, but a lot of the art appears to have been corrected by Ide.

Whaaaaaaaat some people didn't like this ep? Very easily my fav of the arc.

This arc overall has been really great. I'm pretty satisfied so far. Its certainly the best post-dbz storytelling that dragonball has had. I mean the part where the fat blob guy covers the robot's ears so he doesn't hear insults felt like a wacky og dragonball moment lol

Gohan looks so fucking crazy here, love it!

He's definitely going to end up doing something big this arc. The way they handled the visual appearance of him teleporting in front of krillin and effortlessly fending off that attack, the whole thing screams "this is someone to watch this tournament"

He will be the recipient of the beatdown that awakens Goku's super duper secret hidden power. This will be Gohan's biggest contribution in the tourney. Should be the other way around but this is Goku show after all.

And all the foreshadowing about teamwork has yielded groups that were gonna form naturally anyways. Goku and Vegeta, Gohan and his dad, 17 and 18, etc. I agree with the poster a few pages ago who was hypothesizing that Vegeta is going to be a shocking early ring out. In addition, with Krillin gone I don't think 17 and 18 have much time left either. They keep talking about not tiring because of infinite energy but if you put infinite energy battery in a trash vacuum cleaner you are still left with a trash vacuum cleaner. So they are gonna get benched real soon.

It actually makes me feel pretty reminiscent of old Dragon Ball tournaments where you got to see unknown fighters against the cast....except a lot more in this case.

smh at Krillin and 18 jobbing. Krillin, especially. Whatever though, at least 18 will try to get some revenge.

Next ep preview spoilers:

Time for Cauliflower to knock Goku off. Can't wait.

As a Krillin fan, I kinda liked this episode. But I hope the next time we see him fight, god knows how many episodes from now, he's serious. More like in his vs Goku training battle.
more tactics, less dirty shoes shenanigans

OMG I can't hold all these amazing Vegeta screencaps. Keep them coming!

Krillin did pretty well. Not too sad about him getting knocked out, someone had to be the first. I'm glad he got some cool moments regardless. And 18 was great in this episode too.

Wonder what Hit's up to, expected him to come in to help Botamo, but boy am I glad he didn't. THE ULTIMATE TECHNIQUE, HOW WILL VEGETA DEFEAT THIS INVINCIBLE COMBO?!
legit not even joking it so silly I love it

Was bummed Krillin didn't ice anybody. I wonder if we'll actually see a kill this tourney

While I know Kale will obviously be a threat due to LSSJ.

But I really hope they don't allow either Cabba or Cali to be able to stand up to SSB.

Like dear god they just got SSJ.

Though imagine Kale will basically be shown as a threat only to be jobbered by Jiren which then promotes him to biggest threat finality.

edit: Yeah, they'll get hits on Vegeta and Goku, and maybe even a punch on Blue (if they go it), but I don't think it will be a real fight. Kale will be added to job list with Hit and Piccolo

I don't think Goku vs Caulifa will be much of a fight, more talking.

But Vegeta vs Cabba looks to be a thing too. That could be interesting.

Kale...I'm still on the wait and see approach.

I thought the episode was pretty good.

To the complaint no one reacted to Krillin being knocked out.
Didn't the leaks mention in episode 100 people were reacting to Krillin's loss? Probably be like this episode where we saw the reactions to the universe being destroyed.

This sets up a neat vendetta against Frost for 18. I would have rather Krillin lost without getting ringed out, but I don't think there's anyone better to knock Krillin off than Frost, it wasn't a random fighter we've never seen, and I think that's good for Krillin.

After his 3 episode buildup it's a little disappointing, I love 84 and it's one of my favorite episodes, so I did want more, but in a vacuum it was a good showing for Krillin, and can be built upon in the future.

If by failing and getting himself eliminated with nothing to show for it, then yes he was right.
Yamcha would have probably actually died so the plan could still work.

Krillin got beat by making the same mistake Gohan did in 84...

I wonder if Freeza asked frost to pick off U7 team members while their guard is down/they are distracted in hopes of being the last one standing so he gets the super dragon Ball wish

She is gonna get the same treatment he would give Pan.

Next episode's gonna be good
I'm looking forward to Goku stomping
That universe 4 fighter who played dead is exactly why Yamcha would have been useful in this tournament.
Actually though. It would be cool of yamcha played dead and knocked people off with his spirit ball
When are they gonna show Jiren stomping some fools :(

Well,
we know he's going to trash kale next episode

If thinking on your feet and using a smelly shoe to take down an opponent who fights with scent isnt tactics/strategy, idk what is lol

I just find it funny that Frost was the one that eliminated Krillin. Get killed by your universe Frieza and then gets taken out by the other universe's Frieza.
I feel that Frieza and Frost will bond over that moment.

We needed Frost to torture Krillin a little bit like Frieza did to Gohan.

Then Mystic Krillin in 80 episodes.

I wouldn't really compare it to Gohan. Gohan held back his power, and spent most of the time worrying about Krillin. It wasn't really Gohan letting his guard down.

I guess you could argue he was worried about 18.

They should have saved 18 getting knocked out at the end, only Frost does it, and Krillin jumps in to save her, and throws her back in. Take away the Kamehameha to get back in, which I thought was a stupid thing to do. What did the Kamehameha shoot off of?

I know you're somewhat joking but just in case, they'd still be wasting one fighter for something anyone could do.

They might as well bring Mr. Satan if you were going to do that.

Goku wouldn't have any fun if the Champ swept everyone.

When every person of the Frieza race is born, they are showed a picture of Krillin, and are told their lifelong goal is to search for this person, and humiliate them. Killing them is a bonus.
