It'd be cool if they have a port planned for this year but didn't show it at E3 because Nintendo had Pokken and didn't want to look like port city

Cool. Forgot if all we had was them on the support collage or not.

They're literally on the partners list.

And why would they not work with Nintendo again? They got paid to make the games they made, the games become finished, even if it didn't sell well Nintendo kept working with Platinum and even ended up promoting Bayonetta on their biggest fighting game platform.

Ports of successful games from the Wii-U can only help the Switch. Less reason for people to hold onto their Wii-U's is a good thing. Those that missed out will have more reason to buy into Switch.

It would be nothing but a boon if they had a new project from Platinum in addition to what is essentially their greatest hits from the last console.

Plus a bazillion more Amiibos to sell.

As someone who skipped the wiiU, and platinum's titles were the only reason I would have even considered buying the system...

I would like all of these

I said I thought it'd be weird if they didn't, if you read the conversation :p.

I just didn't say they are going to because I was going off just the "list of partners" thing and no announced game/game development. Then OrbitalBeard pointed out something more concrete, in the lights of which my hedging is probably too hedging.

Nowhere in there did I suggest though that I thought Platinum would not do anything with Nintendo or that it was at all likely they wouldn't. I suggested the exact opposite.

Best of Platinum featuring:
Bayonetta
Bayonetta 2
Wonderful 101
Vanquish
Mad World

MGR and Nier won't be able to fit. Then next E3, announce Bayonetta 3 and Wonderful 102.

Doubt they would do all 5 for $60. And they wouldn't go above $60 or fans would be like "but I only wanted X from collection Im not paying $80" or whatever. If they were to do 5 games my guess is it would be two seperate $50-$60 bundles or they would release each one alone at budget pricing.

That would be very cool, could be a rabbids x mario type thing, you play as the W101 crew and you team up with Mario, Link, Samus, DK, the game would be major at that point

Yeah, the first one was first pitched to be exactly that but they abandoned that idea for original characters during development.

I could see it helping out the 'franchise' considerably if they went that route for the second one.

Ya'll do realize that it was just Kamiya retweeting a pic someone sent to him. I'm sure something is coming but that most certainly isn't a tease. Just him showing love to a fan.

Have a weird feeling that we'll get Nintendo Direct next week.

Would make sense. E3 is almost 6 weeks over and Splatoon 2 has been released. So time to push the Rabbids x Mario game and show more third party games with pointing out that they will show more at Gamescom.

I hope it's true, all of it. Portable Bayonetta would be amazing. And any possible improvement to frame-rate on 2 would be most welcome. I'll contain my hype for now however.

Kamiya why you do this!? ;_;

A spot opened up on the japanese site again indicating a Direct was coming right? The last time this happened, how long between the spot opening up and the Direct being announced was it?

Hmmm a feeling huh

I am no insider. Just my gut feelings.

It's been two weeks since the empty spot on Japanese Nintendo Direct page and some form of Direct happened every time this happened.

5 days. One before that was about 2~3 weeks.

Oh I didn't know another spot opened up. Every time a spot opens we get a Direct. Most of us expected on. I'll bet on the first week of August.
