Street Fighter Anniversary Collection listed for PS4/XB1 on German website Coolshop

While you're at it might as well throw in cvs

I'd pay $60 for an online CvS2 on PC.

Okay only like $15 max but you get the point.

I thought I heard that it's one of the worst Capcom ports of their fighting games?

Third Strike, not A3.

IIRC the Dreamcast port of 3S was the least shit of the console versions until 3SOE came to 7th gen and made 3S playable on consoles.

Edit: Excuse my idiocy. You're right. A3 on Dreamcast was the shit port. The Saturn version was the best one.

Hopefully, this includes the Alpha trilogy, all the SF2 variants, Ultra SF4, Puzzle Fighter and Pocket Fighter. That should be enough.

HF and ST together is the dream, not the reality. I wouldn't be surprised if neither made it in, as popular and beloved as those versions are. I think we're more likely to get one of the three most recent SFII versions (HSFII, HDR, or USFII). Unfortunately. Would love to be wrong.

I might not mind this...

Don't get me wrong, more is better, but I'll bite when this package goes on sale.

20th Anniv of SFIII though, I'd take all three in one (only reason I still have the DC hooked up is for NG/GA).

Is it too much to ask for a compilation that includes all three versions of Street Fighter III?

3rd Strike - Fight for the Future

That also has optional black borders, scan lines, and no redrawn HD assets?

I'm not asking for a HD redrawn sprites or anything. Just ports with online so I can play these games with my friends online that's not Fightcade.

Black borders always need an option, but I lowkey love the USFII arcade marquee style borders too. I'm not even sure if it's technically possible, but I also wanna see a blurred pillarbox effect option too.

I actually meant people will be pissed of if its $40 because of USF2 on Switch being absurdly overpriced at $40. Chances are this will have more to it than USF2 and Im thinking it will be $40.

Nah, USF2 had Way of the Hado
LOL
.

What's with all of these online 3S mentions? As great as the game is, you'd think 3SOE never existed.

That's practically the only guarantee there is to this compilation.

Whats the guarantee? Online or no online?

Isn't A2 Gold the same?

Bruh

Zero 2' or gtfo
HAHAHAHAHA
No
Zero 2 did not get an updated rebalance that is a neutered version of its predecessor.

Why does Capcom hate the Alpha series.

The Zero/Alpha series got earliest representation in the Street Fighter IV series, and even in SF5 (R. Mika, Nash and Karin).

No worries, I'm not an expert on this stuff myself, but I thought I remembered reading that other places.

Personally I would rather have an ultimate compilation where you can toggle aspects of all
three games, get all three soundtracks, all stages, etc.

Why does Capcom hate the Alpha series.

SFV is basically an alpha sequel.

Hoping for:
Alpha 2 & 3 MAX
2nd Impact & 3rd Strike
(don't really care which version of SFII tbh)
gallery and interchangable music

Gonna get:
Alpha 2
SNES
New Generation
unfinished Hugo unlockable
SF2
GBC
unlockable
SSF4 3DS

What Id like:

Street Fighter
SF2 HF
SSF2 Turbo
Street Fighter 3: Third Strike
X-Men Vs Street Fighter
Alpha 1-3

One disc, full price

What we will get:

Something disappointing, half assed, expensive that Capcom has a sales expectation of 5 million for and who will cancel any more old ports when it doesn't sell / meet that.

Just like the Mega Man Legacy 2 collection, this will be disappointing. Hopefully you folks aren't getting you're hopes up. At best you'll get

USF2
SF3 3rd Strike
Alpha 3
Street Fighter The Movie

If they manage to put any version of Street Fighter EX on there it's instabought

thankfully they'll never do that that though, so my money is safe

The thought of getting HDR instead of the superior original 😬

Should let you play between series. In alpha, you can play a2 rose vs a3 Ryu. Sf3 ng Sean vs 3s Sean, etc.

I'd certainly be tempted by a good collection.
If it included Alpha 3 I hope it's a version with all the home extras like world tour and not just a straight emulation of the CPS2 rom. I suspect something like this would be basic emulation unfortunately though.

Watch them remove 3rd Strike again and just release Hyper SFII in Europe...Yeah, I'm still pissed about that.

Also this. I love the stages in New Generation.

I suspected something like this was coming since I saw the design of the Street Fighter booth at E3 with all the past games in the series. If they wrapped all the Alpha, SF2 and SF3 games together in a bundle they'd get my money for sure.

Interesting! Here are screen captures of the six titles shown, plus a list of all the other installments mentioned on the booth's wall:

I never saw pics of their booth before - that is interesting indeed. I really hope we'll get a collection with every entry before SFIV in that case.

New Generation's UI is so much better than the other 2, not sure how it could have gone backbwards IMO.
Same with the stage designs I like how they drew them NG, though I guess people like 3rd strike for other reasons.

If this is just Hyper or Ultra SF2 and 3S I'll pass.

If it also has Alpha Anthology I might get it.

If it has ST, original SF3/2I, and possibly some bonus games like SF1 or Pocket Fighter, I'm in.

New Gen and 2I were trash, but getting 3S with the stages from those two would be sick.

My dream compilation (all with online ofc):
-SF1 (but with FAR more lenient controls)
-USFII, with Hyper-esqe edition select
-SFA2 Gold, with SFA3's roster
-SFIII:3SOE, with NG and 2I's stages
-USFIV
-CvS2
-Vampire Resurrection (yes I'm still on this)
-And I guess just give SFV players a shit ton of FM for buying this. 100K would be fine

What we're probably getting (still with online):
-SF1 (but the jank one with bad controls)
-USFII
-SFA2 Gold
-SFA3 Max
-SFIII:3SOE

To be honest, I'd be cool with getting the latter version as well.

This is a Street Fighter collection, you are not going to get a Vampire and a Versus game on it.

There's no way this isn't the PS2/Xbox Anniversary Collection which in itself was a good collection of Hyper SF2 and 3rd Strike. My expectations are low on this one for expecting anything more.

That being said, I might end up buying it to get SOME kind of SF2 on PS4, since I can't see Ultra SF2 showing up on there any time soon.

Straight BC emulated version of SF Anniversary seems like the most likely thing.

Alpha Anthology would be cool too, but I guess Xbox players would be left out.

CvS2 is pretty much "SF and Friends vs KoF".

Isn't KOF a crossover series anyway.
