How is Darkest Dungeon on PS4?

I bought this game during the Totally Digital Sale last month, it IS cross buy with Vita.



It is pretty much the only game I have played since I bought it. I just passed Day 100 and It is totally digital crack. I cannot stop playing. It is hard to pick up at first (the very initial learning curve takes a bit of time to understand the games mechanics), since some things aren't exactly obvious, so I did some googling like "Tips for Beginners Darkest Dungeon"



I have never looked back. It is hard, it is depressing, it is exciting, it is fun!


PROTIP: Never get attached to a single member of your party. They are meant to be used up and discarded if they dont die first!

Depends on what you despised about them I guess.

Bloodborne is built on the same basic framework but at the same time has quite a bit of its own.

The game itself feels more horror and the world feels closer to Vampire Hunter D than Berserk. The combat is more in your face since shields aren't a thing in the game and it's more about dodging. The life regain system also favors more aggressive play.

Oh and you parry using guns.

Ys is a great series. The only one on sale right now is Celceta, which isn't my favourite, but it's still a pretty fun little game. The best ones are Oath in Felghana and Origin.

It's not Metroidvania: it's far closer to Classicvania, with a bit of Ghouls N Ghosts. It's a great game on its own though.

100% avoid. It's honestly one of my most hated games ever, and I played it for free (borrowed my friend's).

I think the PC versions of VIII and IX have those improvements. But yeah, a PS4 port of those seems like such a no-brainer I'm surprised it hasn't happened yet.
