Heads up

The Dualshock 4/Wireless receiver bundle thing is $27.99 at bestbuy. Just ordered one so I don't have to sit 3 feet from my computer with my controller plugged in.

Slightly off topic but are there any SteamGAF folks that are planning on Destiny 2 PC?

It would be cool to form a group. Or see if there's a larger GAF clan.

I plan on making a shortcut on Steam and exploring from my couch with the Steam Link. PvP and more intense moments will be at the desk.

Was then I saw MHW.

How well does the gyroscope aiming work on Steam via DS4? Can you even use it for camera control? I'd buy this to play certain FPS on my couch but I refuse to play shooters with thumbsticks anymore.

You can use the DS4 gyro for the right stick, mouse aim, or even the left stick (ideal for driving in games). You can leave it always on with a button to reset position, or you can have it activated when you hold down the aim button. The hardware is great, but I don't know how good it feels because I refuse to use the DS4 for anything that requires aiming or camera control. There are some impressions here.

I only ever played it on my desktop and I still found it to be enjoyable enough, but I did find it wasn't fully engaging to constantly keep playing for long stretches. Something I went to while waiting for another game to download/install, or while I was watching someone on a second monitor.

So... I'm assuming that only the Steam controller has passable gyro controls. Well, maybe the Switch Pro controller, but idk if that can have gyro mapped and whether or not it's worth the effort.

You know, the more i think about it, the more it is ticking me off.

They put an Anarchy A into the logo. And place it behind the 'Is' and not the 'A'

grrrrrrr

I get the outrage and I'm totally on board if you plan to boycott or rage somewhere but it would like kinda weird with it in the A spot, too stretched out and uneven.

Heh, I didn't even think it was an anarchist A, fleetingly thought it was like an "against" thing.

Re: Destiny responses... the microtransaction business is a definite bummer, but I can't say I'm surprised at this point. Hopefully, some of the negative reaction will make them reconsider.

I'm mostly going into it for a good time-sink distraction. I find it's good for my mental health to have a "long form" game kicking around that I can channel some anxious energy into.

Oh shit here comes everybody telling me I'm wrong when they're actually the wrong ones

I've yet to play HK, hurry up Switch

HK will make you change your mind. It's as good as people say it is and then some.

Charmed the ever-living fuck out of my cold, dead heart. And I'm like 25 hours in with a good bit to go, I think.

Time exclusive for the Switch confirmed. Expecting a PC port next year.

It's a 3rd person shooter that encourages you to go all out crazy instead of hiding in cover while blowing up robots.

Yep. The set pieces just get bigger and bigger and crazier and crazier. It keeps the foot on the pedal until the very end.

Played beautifully smooth on my 2500k / 970.

Did Steam Guard code push notifications stop working for anyone else recently (iOS app in my case)? Incredibly annoying.
