So with this I can eventually start a private Realm server and have it connected to Xbox One, Switch and Windows 10 right?
So now that I have installed the updated version on Xbox One is there any reason to keep the disc?
There is a new retail version coming November 7 (alongside XB1X)Yup. They're gifting disc owners fully licensed digital copies.
Right now it's digital only, but I'd be shocked if the retail versions of Xbox One Edition (and Switch Edition) weren't eventually replaced with this.
How do I get this for free on the Xb1? I have the digital version. Looks like it's glitched for me and show the 19.99 price.
It'll take a few days for everyone to have their free one. Mine was showing the price yesterday.
But when I clicked on the price today it then told me I already owned it.
Yes.

Cool to see that first forum post when it was alpha, but yeah, 8y4m is the best part of a decade. Point is the game looked bad when it was released, and although the dev graphics became iconic in their own way, I wouldn't have expected MC to be troubling modern consoles even with a new lick of paint.
And do we know what features does the 4k update provide, aside from 4k output and HDR?But the Super Duper pack isnt.
The Super Duper pack is MS ecosystem exclusive. The features of the 4K HDR update (which includes more than 4K and HDR) are coming to all versions, with the exception of 4K output and HDR where not supported by the platform itself.
I checked last night, my W10 version is still at 1.15 so my account hasn't been migrated yet I guess. Hopefully I can check out the Better Together update tonight. If it's all up to parity feature-wise with the Java Edition then I'm moving over to the W10 version and leaving Java behind for good!

So, uh, when's GAFland opening up for business again?
What's the max amount of people that can access the realm?Someone would have to buy a Realms to get true cross play. I'm open to doing so, although we'd probably want some sort of consensus on seeds, game modes, etc.

Just like Sony, you've forgotten the Vita.

No, 10 friends (plus you) or 2 friends (plus you), so 3 or 11 users total. There are two options. 2 users and 10 users.
Same, however I really like the current server's hybrid setup where you can switch between the two modes in the spawn city. Having access to creative was handy at times when I lost all my stuff very stupidly or when I needed Elytras because I spent 2 hours looking for one only to have an Enderman spawn on top of me, already angry somehow, and knock me into the void. Having to make the trip back to spawn made making the switch a non-trivial choice.Yep, from what I've read it seems like buying a Realm is the best way for all of us to "play together".
If we are taking opinions, then I personally prefer a survival server! Creative gets boring to me after a while, I honestly find hunting for building mats half the fun of the game and survival gives food farming a purpose.
I bought Minecraft in 2010, I swear it was the Java version, but I'm probably crazy. I think I'm out of luck though if I wanted to claim this as my email account isnt registered?Have Java Edition? How to Redeem your free copy of Minecraft for Windows 10 and be Better Together!

Why is there only three community servers with access to those of people? Weren't they going to open this up?
Hopefully soon. I just want a server to build on with tons of people around. The ones now are all mini games and I don't really care for them.Yeah, they will be. It's only just come out of Beta. I don't know how they're going about recruting more public servers, but I can't imagine it'll be a free-for-all quite yet.

Mojang Support said:Mojang accounts are the next step in Minecraft accounts and are your single sign-in resource for all Mojang games. If you log into Minecraft with your username, you can migrate your game to a Mojang account at account.mojang.com/migrate. If you log in with your email address, you already have a Mojang account and do not need to migrate.

Same. I think I bought it the same day it was announced on Slashdot. Yeah, that's how long ago it was. It says that my account has been migrated from the older user-name-based version to the e-mail based version, and I tried feeding it fake information just to make sure it doesn't say this for every e-mail/username combination, but the system isn't sending me any of the password resets I requested. Not sure what's going on.
