Destiny 2 |OT2| Leviathan Wakes (Spoiler Tag ALL Raid Discussion)

What's wrong with that?

I'm not saying they should have 3 years of content.

I'm saying they should have learned from the lack of content in the initial release (which they in fairness, kinda had a reason for) and improved second time around, while implementing some of the QoL changes they made in D1 rather than taking backwards steps in many areas.
More content in D2's launch than there was for the launch of D1 is not good enough? Lol

Destiny year 2 and 3 were bandaids for Destiny year 1.

Destiny 2 was never going to follow in all of those footsteps.

Or how about they don’t require PVP for one of the milestones.

I think quick play is fair game, but I would be okay with competitive having no challenges. In d1 I definitely did my fair share of deliberate, shit gameplay just to get certain stuff done... It definitely sucks for people out to win.

I think simple stuff like the call to arms is fine though, where you can just play and work towards the achievement.

"Playing without a care" implies not playing to the best of your ability. And the post you originally commented to with your suggestion of removing the milestone, was about people "sleeping through Call to Arms," which is also a comment on not trying.

Not playing to the best of your ability is, inherently, intentionally playing poorly. If a player isn't great, that's rough but understandable. If you simply just don't want to try because you don't like it, well that's making a choice that negatively impacts your team. Which isn't understandable. So it shouldn't be a mystery as to why the latter bothers some people.

I really, honestly couldn't care less how you view my play style. I actually did try in those four CoA matches today, which may have resulted in the milestone unlocking after four. But I absolutely don't blame anyone for wanting to 'sleepwalk' through them. It reminds me of people hopping in PVP matches of other games and chasing certain achievements.

LF3 for Calus, know the fight please, and be at least 280PL. Want to get this done before reset, and have others things to do later. (PS4)

I didn't express a view on any playstyle in that post. I explained why some people would be bothered by team members not trying.

I don't like to raid so how about we don't have the raid as one of the milestones.

If that's how you feel about the raid, then great. More power to you. There's nothing wrong with having that opinion. My opinion is that PVP in Destiny in an unbalanced mess and if I want all the high level rewards for the week, I need to play PVP.

i see they still haven't fixed the issue where you try to go to the tower and get caught in the infinite time warp animation and nothing loads :/

Steps backwards in which areas? Specially in terms of QoL, there’s currently:

- No roll grind
- Myriad progression avenues
- Far quicker loop to max level
- Infusion is back, Exotic kiosk is back, ornaments are now universally applied,
- There’s fewer currencies
- Casual players can get all types of gear if they’re in a clan
- Guided games make NF/Raid easier to group up for
- You no longer need to grind a ton before your gun is leveled and usable
- Upgrading your subclass perk tree no longer takes a billion years
- Getting exotic and legendary gear no longer requires no-lifting the game

There’s stuff like shaders being consumable which haven’t been universally accepted but specially in terms of QoL it’s weird to imagine this being a step backwards.

Dead Orbit is the best orbit. Please choose wisely, those who consider siding with these lesser factions who do not wear the glory that be black. For you can have it in any color you like, so long as it's black.

You mean Black Screen of Death or the Flying Ship headed towards Tower, yet never reaches?

Here's what IS cool about the way they've implemented it: Call to Arms progression only triggers from playing non-competitive. I hovered the cursor over competitive, and it didn't mention anything about CoA like it does in the casual mode.

I actually miss the roll grind, meant the 1000th time you got the same thing could be better then what you had rather then just dismantling as soon as you get it

Seriously, anyone who says someone could do some crunch needs to literally STOP. STOP STOP STOP. That is being very ignorant and quite honestly disrespectful.

I didn't say whether it inconveniences me or not because that is not the issue. The issue is people that say negative things about Bungie/devs because of a maintenance and that try to defend it. Also saying stuff like crunch is needed. All of that is extremely negative and there is no place for that here.

Also, you're wrong. Comments like the game should be up 24-7 and I paid such and such, or that they need to crunch or swap hours, etc., that's entitled as entitled can get.

They deserve the negative comments. Like I said before, this is 3 straight weeks of maintenance, 2 of which have been extended. D1 didn't have these problems. After these maintenances, the game still has a bunch of problems. They aren't fixing the important things, they aren't even commenting on a lot of issues the game currently has, like raid bugs. The maintenance windows completely fucks anyone in Europe, and on the last day before reset too.

People absolutely have a right to have an issue. I'm not singling Bungie out here either, I'd talk shit about any dev or company that did this. We just happen to be in the Destiny thread.

Some people probably just watched the latest My Name Is Byf video.

New Monarchy supporter for 3 years and counting! I don't need a video to tell me that they're the team to be on.

Sure, some people might have misgivings about their ultimate end goal, but neither faction is without their flaws. Honestly, humanity couldn't survive, grow and flourish under the rule of one singular faction.

Some of those are great improvements i agree. But i think they went backwards in some areas such as:

- Removing PvP game type options
- Removing PvP game modes
- Making all PvP 4v4 was a step backwards imo.
- Reducing end game activities
- Lack of strike specific gear, strikes aren't worth the time investment.
- Removing Keys/chests from strikes
- While infusion being back is great, I think the current iteration of it is a backwards step.
- Changes to weapon load outs with the power weapons.
- Changes to weapon rolls (this is a divisive one that has pro's and cons i guess.)
- Exotic armour with perks from old skill trees or old legendary armour.

Those are just the ones off the top of my head.

They've made so many good changes but then changed some things that were good, to bad.

They were band aids yes, but they brought about some great changes that improved the game massively no?

Bring that up with the BBB and see what they say. Fact of the matter is, a paid service, a paid game, consumers have a right to complain about it. Whether you agree with it or not is not the question. It's nothing about being nice or having compassion for developers, it's business. When consumers already paid for something and they have the right so speak. I'm with you on not wanting certain people to work extra hours just to complement that but at the same time these multi billion dollar corporations (By that I mean Activision, I know Bungie is small fry ) can spare to hire or get people who want to do the extra hours to address any issues if that.

It's just like me with Comcast back many many years ago. Comcast was small back then and I paid $150 a month for internet. The thing was down at least two days a week. Am I supposed to feel sorry for the small amount of people working behind closed doors? By your logic I should not feel entitled and suck it up. I shouldn't have to.

On this, we can agree. All three factions have issues. Which is good for game stuff. Bad for the outlook of the Destiny world.

Armor and weapon reskins not being a factor, I'll be sticking with Dead Orbit on principle(and for the shaders).

I seriously thought Mods were going to be a game changer

You go get geared up with whatever set you like cosmetically or stat wise aesthetically then slot in mods to certain loadouts

Raid, you create Energy/Power Weapon set
Then one for each subclass, from ability cool down, to grenade and melee
Then you could do a PvP set with what you feel is comfortable
Save certain mods for shifting meta's and slot those in

Seriously, I thought players would be running 4-6 sets easily.
Finding out that the 3 stats of Mobility, Resilience, and Recovery (this one decent) aren't the iNT, STR, MND of D1 fame.

Hitting +10 on 1 stat easily done due to each class being heavily weighed to a certain stat

I think if mods were a lot more open and % reduction had a little more Oomph to it, people would stand out more

Also farming still broken, womp womp
My reddit thread blew up, wow.

We need a swap armors option for that.

If everyone here is picking Dead Orbit then so am I. Pretty sure if the hardcore gamers are picking a faction, they will be the ones with the most points at the end of the week.

i dont want to waste 50k glimmer on a gun.

glad to see Bungie doesnt do crunch but there has to be a middle ground here.
