I bought both Xenoblade and X and completely regretted both since I just can't stand the combat system. So I think I'm done with the series unless it changes drastically.


Anyway, LA Noire. I think I'm gonna wait on reviews since this game appears to be pretty divisive.

On that note, it has completely vanished from German retail distribution systems. Retailers don't have it for preorder anymore, and their distributors also don't list it anymore.

Its fine man. People would have run with anything too far and too fast. You are right that some of the bad Nintendo fan sites will way overreact but thats the thig, there will never be a right time or place with that group.

Personally I look forward to my R* allstars battle that mashes up Manhunt, Smugglers Run, Bully and Table tennis.

To get back on point, I am very interested in this La Noire port if it is well made and the loading isn't horrendous like it was on ps3. I'd actually take a bunch of remakes/up ports for switch for the portability and faster loading if R* will give it too me.

Man I wish they could just re-license a bunch of the old music from the GTA3 trilogy and just give us a trilogy remake in the GTaV engine. I kind of miss Vice City but don't want those dated/ugly visuals anymore.

Oh don't get me wrong, I've always only oficially "leaked" things I was 100 percent sure about were happening (or not happening in Steep's case).

This wasn't a leak, just a tired and ill-thought out post. I would expect Take Two (and by extension Rockstar) to treat Switch similar to how Bethesda is, from my understanding of the situation and my conversation with sources. This is the main thrust of my info in this thread, and again, while I would say more Rockstar games are 100 percent currently in the works, it by no means indicates what will happen in the future (things can always change or be cancelled, especially prior to being announced...)I jumped the gun on this one, it's not a leak, I am not confirming GTAV for Switch.


Anyway, sorry fot the shitshow I caused.


Edit: And no I'm not an insider, I dont work in the games industry in any capacity. I just know a lot of the right people and have been entrusted to release bits and pieces from time to time. I've always been as transparent as I can be while trying to protect my mates. Shit I post a lot about myself in tons of threads, anyone can know way too much about me and my real life than I'd probably care for them to just by going to the OT side.

Honestlt it's what I've been expecting either way. This is a test after all. The second Rockstar said they plan to continue supporting GTA online beyond their original plans an extra sku just made sense as and easy extra revenue source.

Excitement gets the best of us, so no worries. Honestly, I expect GTA V to hit the NS at some point. Kind of a no-brainer prediction, at this point. I'd be more shocked if Red Dead was announced, though.

Yeah, GTA V on Switch makes a lot of sense at this point. I've always been under the impression that Rockstar would gladly port a GTA title to a Nintendo system if the hardware allowed it and the consumer base was there.

- GTA on GCN didn't happen because of disc storage space
- GTA on Wii didn't happen because of the hardware + the typical Wii consumer wasn't purchasing the system for the types of games Rockstar creates. Even still, they ported a couple of their recent (for the time) titles, but there was no recent GTA game that would work on the hardware.
- GTA on Wii U didn't happen, because....it was the Wii U. A commercial disaster.

Unless Switch has major issues handling GTA Online, I expect a version of GTA V at some point. Heck, I could even see Rockstar just porting over the single player and calling it a day.

You are being a bit harsh in yourself...Nothing bad happened, it's no like you spoiled a mayor surprise that was about to happen in the next days or exposed your source. GTA V or other R* titles coming to Switch isn't that shocking anymore post L. A Noire/Doom.

GTA V Switch is a no brainers - there is no portable version yet, no competition for this kind of Open World game and it'll result in this game moving even more units.

It also makes sense that it wouldn't be announced or shown until Nintendo has finalized their online gaming plans/setup.

While it didn't happen some work went into a prospective port prelaunch. That disappeared when the sales figures started coming in though, as did a ton of other planned 3rd party games.

I'm torn about LA Noire Switch version. I say Switch version because if I pick up a copy of this game it'll be on the Switch. I played and beat this on the PS3 when it was release and while I enjoyed it I was left with th feeling that these types of games aren't for me. But I do want to support it to show interest in future possible ports for the Switch. Aaarrrggg! Can't wait for Nintendo to have just another console where 3rd parties releases on without them possibly pulling out because of that 3rd party on Nintendo console stigma.

Personally I dont buy games to support publishers. I operate on the idea that they need to give me something I actually want before I buy their stuff. Most of the time they simply dont. But Doom for instance, I think I wanna get just because it looks awesome. And I'll get the resident evil revelation games cause they are pretty fun. But I am not aimlessly buying shit. If you dont want LA Noire future support shouldn't hinge on you buying something you dont like.

You should never buy a title in hopes of it enticing the publisher to bring more games to a platform. Buy it because you want to play it.

Also, if Rockstar is gauging the validity of a GTA V port on LA Noire's commercial reception, they're not as smart as I give them credit for.

Funny how Switch has the opposite problem. Third parties had zero expectations so none of them had anything ready, and now Switch is selling great and they're scrambling.
