Red Dead Redemption II Trailer #2 released!

Well, I suppose one of the main points of this was to provide some details on this player character. Based on what's presented, he's an unlikable dirtbag. Seems kind of one note and boring what with the cliche "wheres me monay?!" outbursts and whatnot. The "wear black" line is good though.

I could see this guy working better in the context of an ensemble. I hope and believe that's what's happening.
Or I hope that there's more to him than what they decided to focus on for this trailer.

It's overall not that great of a trailer because there's no drive or focus to it really. Kind of bland. I mean, it establishes the general tone, but we already knew this would be a sequel to Red Dead.

I hope we get some awesome artworks just like we did for RDR1.

Those art works are the best. Desktop wallpaper for almost eight years now. Rockstar does such a good job of releasing concept art before the game's arrival to really drive hype!

This game. The wait shall be excruciating!

Protagonists don’t have to be likeable or good to be compelling or interesting. Have an unlikeable outlaw as a protagonist would be a welcome change

If I ever post something in Japanese which I don't understand, please BAN me.

smh. I said 3rd party.

Horizon 0, Uncharted, FF15, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Assassin's Creed Origins. (some aren't third party, but it shouldn't matter).
The graphic on this game is maybe even or maybe even less impressive than MGSV's graphics.

I am not saying this game is ugly, but it def looks like an entry level PS4 graphic.

Come on now! None of those 3rd party games even come close to RDR2! Look at how horses muscles contract! You think MGSV's flat low poly models are better than this? I'm out!

Horizon in other hand.

Are you talking about the architecture or the people? Because I didn't have a problem with the former but the latter definitely felt too static and not properly simulated. I imagine that's something RDR2 is going to excel at again.

I hope it's only one playable character. Don't like the multiple shizz

Could be nice to have a proper bad guy as a main character for once.

it proves that MGSV has incredible character models and runs at rock solid 60FPS.

It does but RDR2 is on another level!

Here's a bullshot from Konami

Derby Hat could be this guy:

Old timer looks like Landon Ricketts but there's no proof yet

THIS, a thousand times. I have hated the multiple protagonist gimmick in GTAV and Yakuza. Both of those games had narratives that suffered because of this aspect, and was often uneven and unfocused. At the absolute maximum, I would tolerate having a situation where the protagonist died and we got to play another character.

I get the feeling its only one protagonist for this game. Just cause they did it in GTAV doesn't mean its something they'll do in every game going forward.

Yeah, this didn't do much for me. Something about it felt more...thick in a bad way than the original. Still am sure it will be a great game.

Outlaws to the end is a really striking tag line. To the end of a lowlife but also to the end of the Era as rdr is set in 1910 I think. I loved how it looked back as the era as a myth and embraced it as much as it deconstructed it

it's a sequel and a prequel like godfather part II.

Huh, that’s very true. Maybe like a Mafia II situation, a long period of time in between. That would actually be amazing.

Perfectly fitting. I hope the Prequel has some great choice quotes on the art that match the game’s identity.

First trailer was better imo but I'm still very much looking forward to it. Nobody does open world detail quite like Rockstar.

Perhaps, just perhaps, people thought Redemption was something special because John was a human and not some dastardly acting cartoon.

The problem is not that he seems to be evil, the problem is that he's so far shown to be a one tone, generic bandit, no different to the hundreds you kill when playing as John.
