Got a bit wet at the track today, only the start finish straight for proper covered grandstands and they're restricted on Fridays.

Still raining, hopefully it stops like it's supposed to (even if it might improve the race)

How is the weather predicted for the race? Sunny?

Also, growing number of rumors are suggesting that Ferrari does have some unique tweaks on their steering wheel handles and that is the reason for hiding it as much as they can

Bottas really hasn't been performing so great these past few races, and it seemed to be purely on raw pace.
Wonder if he's struggling with set up, seems to have complained a couple of times about tyres not working.

”The main issue was mainly struggling more with the front end, which hasn't really been the case many times this year, but now in the mid-corners it's losing a lot of front end," said Bottas. ”It is tricky to get the car turned, I'm overheating the front left tyre, also four wheels sliding in high speed corners.
”I have been only running the new (aero) package. If I tried to go quicker I just slide more, and struggle more with the tyre temperatures. I tend to quite easily overheat the surface of the tyre and then when the bulk temperature of the tyre versus the surface is not close enough then you lose quite a lot of grip."

Looks sunny for the race with a possibility of a damp quali. Interesting to hear about possible Ferrari tricks on the steering wheel. I wonder if Budkowski will be taking those to Renault next year....

Bottas had gearbox replaced, so 5 place grid penalty is looming
Interesting. The last gearbox issue was with both cars and they changed them consecutively to still have one car at the front. Hamilton took his penalty back in Austria so he should have a new one already.

This image could be tagged as 'Mercedes WDC title chances going down the drain' if they mess it badly this weekend with Lewis

Someone give me the stuff that Vettel is having:

Vettel: Stroll changed direction without looking

Leaning into it even harder now.

Because you drive for Ferrari. Its a matchade in heaven, a driver who believes he does nothing wrong (he even wondered abo ut his drive through after ramming Hamilton in Baku) and a team who believe they are gods gift to F1 (dont forget theh still maintain Max took oit both Seb and Kimi in Singapore, they even doubled down on it).

You try not to crash before turn 1 actually.

That was the plan obviously. Just keep in mind that Vettel and Verstappen didn't crash into each other (there was no contact at all between them). Vettel simply couldn't know that Rai was left of Verstappen and therefore obviously didn't plan to leave both Verstappen and Rai enough space out there.

What kind of gimmicks could be hidden in a steering wheel? What stuff that would be legal to manipulate wouldn't already be available? No one would be talking about this had Vettel not yanked the thing from his car last week after the Stroll incident, ironically. Some kind of setup for continuous and rapid engine mapping adjustments? Some busted engine parts last weekend might have been something caused by messing around with some unusual parameters more often, maybe?

Or he tried to put it back, but due to damage couldn’t get it on (quickly) and decided to take it with him.

I cant believe we´re still getting another full year of Kimi. Danny, Verstappen, Hulk, Alonso, Sainz, Perez and Ocon deserve that seat more than Kimi.
