INB4 people yell at him to finish a game before thinking about future projects

What would a new 3D Rayman game even look like today? I loved Rayman 2, but would settle for just a sequel to Rayman Legends.

Maybe he should worry about the game he has in front of him before speculating about the distant future and setting up fans to be disappointed.

He says after both WiLD and BGE2. That's quite a while from now.

Yup, that is a very long time from now. Assuming (based on absolutely nothing, mind you) that WiLD is closer to release than BGE2, we're looking at something like 4-6 years from now for this new Rayman to be a thing.

I have no idea why Rahman 2 got ported to every system known to man. I really played that game a lot as a kid, and I really don’t know why. I hated it.

Considering his list of credits for the last 20 years consists almost entirely of Rayman games, I can't say this comes as any surprise.

to be fair, any time they make a rayman game he gets a "Based on a world and characters created by" credit even if he hasnt actually touched the game

I'm confused about the fourth adventure part.

They are 5 main Rayman games as well as several handheld platformers.

Now you could put forth he's talking about just Rayman 1-3 but only 2 and 3 were 3D.

In fact the original Rayman and the 3D games are pretty different not only in gameplay but in terms of characters and setting with Legends adopting parts of both.

Referring to Rayman 1-3 probably makes the most sense based on his overall tone, but theres also been 3 ubiart rayman games developed at Ubisoft Montpelier between Origins, Legends and the mobile Adventures

Rayman 4, a full 3D adventure in the vein of 2 & 3 had a trailer and introduced far more menacingly designed Rabbids.

It was scrapped in favour of a minigame collection.

The potential revival of that sure is surprising after over a decade.

A 3D Rayman revival would be fantastic -- I hope Vivendi will agree.

Ubisoft Montpellier actually had a 3D Rayman project going on for a short time after Rayman Legends, but it was scrapped really early (source: the "L'Histoire de Rayman" book) and they went on to Rayman Adventures, and then Beyond Good & Evil 2. This makes me wonder if it was just put on hold rather than completely scrapped.
