Ask me about the moon landing or the temperature at which jet fuel burns. You may be surprised at what you learn.
This is the first time I've heard about Alienation. As a huge Diablo fan (I also love Arcarde shooters) I take it this is a must have?

Online and couch co-op?
Lots of replayability?

How similar to Diablo is it?

I'm itching for something to play with my friends. I thought Destiny 2 would be it, but there's just no content currently. We're all getting bored... The wait for Monster Hunter is killing me!

Its a twinstick shooter with a loot system.

Revelator is obsolete, though.

You can buy Revelator 2 as a $20 upgrade but it won't come with the DLC characters from Rev 1.

Or you can just buy Rev 2 as a standalone for $40 and that has everything.

It was also on sale for $20 a couple weeks ago.

Skullgirls, tho, is highly recommended.

I thought revelator was rev 2 and xrd was rev 1 lol. my mistake

Almost bought Monkey Ball Banana Blitz for Vita because I haven't played Monkey Ball in forever and thought "why not?".

Looked it up to find out it is not PSTV compatible. So that answers that.

Shame, that.

Alienation does have couch co-op, for those asking.

Replayability was really high for me due to the different classes playing out so differently, plus I wanted nothing but Legendary gear with max slots on my characters, which will take awhile to farm as it is the most rare loot in the game.

They patched in color customization for armors (with different perks), and increasing rank allows you to change ammo color too. It’s possible to view enemy models as well for those who enjoy that, and there are pretty tough UFO missions after you complete the game (beware that if you die in these you’ll need to find another key to access the UFO). You can also go back to previous levels anytime you’d like if you feel you’re not ready to move on to the next level.

If you’re interested in putting in the time to go around entire maps destroying checkpoints, you will be rewarded extra loot boxes at the end of levels. I think the limit is 4 though? I only recommend doing this after you’ve completed all the objectives since it’s risky. Enemies will respawn if you die, so think twice before you do this.

The game gets brutal in harder difficulties but the rewards are higher.

Is The Division good as a single player game at $19.99?
Honestly? Yeah, I really enjoyed it. If you like 3rd person shooters and loot systems I would say it's worth it. Great graphics and it's pretty enjoyable to play. Not sure how the community is still, but when I played there were no issues finding groups for dungeons.

Is Wipeout worth it? I actually quite liked hd and played some of the psp one but seemed like the difficulty spike is crazy pretty early on imo. Also does it have custom soundtracks for that unlimited colorful mode?

Is Alienation basically a spiritual successor to Dead Nation? Looks almost identical in the video (except Aliens and not zombies). Worth $6?

I played it at launch and it was good for the first few hours but got very repetitive. Maybe it's improved since but I wouldn't bite unless it has.

Thanks guys

I prefer 3rd person shooters, and like a lot of loot like Diablo and Nioh.

I guess I'm hoping that I'll be able to solo most content.

Just FYI, purchases from this flash sale nets you 3x Sony Rewards Points, which can be used to redeem more PSN money later (I found out I had enough points for $10 by checking my points today).

Is The Surge worth it at $30? I think it's the cheapest it's been so far, currently cheaper than Best Buy or Amazon too. I like the Souls games quite a bit. Yay or nay?

bad gameplay lol
How is Alienation for someone who likes loot games but doesn't like playing them in multiplayer? For example, I have an absolute ton of hours in games like Diablo III and Dragon's Crown, but I've never once touched multiplayer in either of them. I keep reading that it's less good solo, which has me worried. Can anyone who's played it exclusively or at least mostly solo vouch for it?

I like both experiences equally. I think the encounters are more intense solo'd especially with no one there to revive you or help you through. It's pretty easy to die if you're not careful. The "less good in solo" thing is something I often see for most games that feature good co-op. It's just really, really fun playing shooters with friends...sometimes. Sometimes your friends will actually get you killed because they're running around triggering every surrounding enemy thinking that's actually a good strategy in this game lol. I didn't try any co-op at all until my second character.

Got Hitman. Already have it on PC but my toaster can barely play it in 1080p at 30 FPS with low settings. Would be nice to see how much better it is on a Pro.

Nice I've been wanting to try out Alienation. Doubt I'll have time to dig into it until 2018 but I'll get it now while it's cheap

Edit: 5.0 update broke my Pro :(

No video signal any of my TVs even in safe mode.

This sucks

I heard some people were having issues. I updated my Pro. I hope it does not go out on me.

Been playing some Trials HD this week and have the itch for a current gen version.

Is Trials Fusion any good?
I think the consensus is that people don't like it quite as much as Trials Evo Gold but for 6 bucks you'll have a sufficiently good time.

Is it just the base game? I might think twice about buying the base game because the season pass never goes on sale, while the complete edition of the game does.
