how are the other strategy rpgs atm?

Did FEH gain any depth? I kinda quit after doing story stuff, and all the discussion is about pvp meta, which I can care less about.

Anyone play the gamevil one? Production value is high.

Anyone still playing dragon project?

FEH Definitly became more complex. Which month did you stop?

Things that were added since release:

- Grand Hero Battle (pretty hard maps where you are not allowed to loose a single character; The reward is the enemy hero, most of the time hostile characters from the main game, like Narcian, Camus or Zephiel)
- Bound Hero Battle (Same as GHBs, but you get Orbs as rewards)
- Voting Gauntlet (you choose a team and play for that team to get points. This is an event that comes every few weeks.)
- Tempest Trial (the first real Gacha time spender. A tower where you fight several conescutive battles with up to 4 teams. If a character dies he stays dead for the remainder if the run, you also can't use duplicates. Enemies get stronger with every map and you get several rewards, depening on your score. This is an event that comes every few weeks.)
- Chain Challenge (similar to Tempest Trial, but the rewards are only feathers and orbs. You play through 1 or 2 chapters/paralogues in a row without changing teams inbetween. If a characters dies he stays dead for the run. Enemies become stronger the farther you get.)
- Squad Assault (A series of 5 maps, you are not allowed to loose a single character and for each map you have to change your team, no duplicates are allowed.)
- Skill Inheritance (you can inherit up to 3 skills from one character to another. The one that gives the skills goes away afterwards. You can create pretty powerful characters with this.)
- Sacred Seals (basically a fourth skill slot where you can put a seal which is a regular skill. You get seals from quests, tempest trial, squad assaults or, new since this week, can craft some. Also since this week you can empower them and turn them from a level 1 skill up to level 3 skills.)
- Arena Assault (similar to Squad Assault, you have to finish a whole arena run while changing your team after every battle, no duplicates are allowed. People can die, but that lowers your score.)
- Support System (pair 2 characters for increased stats; you can also pair a single character with your summoner for increased stats)
- New game mechanics for maps: Enemy Reinforcement, survive for X turns, defense tiles, win within Y turns.
- And, finally, many new skills due to the newly added characters and seals.

Most of the stuff is all the time available, only GHB/BHB are there for a limited time (we do get reruns of those though) and Tempest Trial/Voting Gauntlet are currently the 2 events that change every other week (1 week voting gauntlet, after another week a 2 week tempest trial, etc).
Also, we currently have 13 story chapters, 1 mini story chapters, 13 Paralogues (14 comes on monday) and 2 xenologues. We also have special maps that are one time only events, currently we still have FE Warriors special maps for another week or two I think.

You should buy those rainbow apples. The beginner shop has them, next shop doesnt.
Also buy every equipment ticket you can from that Beginner store.

What about collaboration banners? Do you need multiple copies aswell to limit break?

Yu, There are elemental fragments (blue for blue, red for red, etc) and rainbow fragments you can collect that can be used to limit break anyone :) I have no idea how rare they are though o_O

Do you know how long the Beginner Shop is around for? I've basically just been logging in daily since I'd rather not play on my PC, but if the shop is time-limited I guess I could (try) to start grinding some coins. :/

I wonder what Alchemist Code is going to do when it launches globally and all the new players are weeks behind?
Nothing really, it's the same for most soft-launches. Granted, most soft-launches don't last this long and don't have a PVP element attached to them (although this isn't mandatory)...

There should be a timer for you to show how many days that shop is there before new comes.

Also, if you haven't sold ingots already, go to normal shop, it asks do you want to sell them, sell them to get gold.

Man, I wish I knew about that Beginner's Shop in Alchemist Code before now (thanks for mentioning it, Rixa!). Only three days remaining. :/

I guess I'll buy whatever equipment tickets I can between now and when it leaves, and whatever else I have on those apples.

Gundam Battle will get a English Release in 2018
I had a hard time finding any trailers/gameplay for this game because it looks like there are a lot of games with a similiar name. I didn't get a chance to play the Gundam Strike game so I'm gonna at least try this one.

The Alchemist Code is now available in the iOS app store! Canada, at least.

...........

The Alchemist Code...stickers, that is. That's right, stickers for IM but not the actual game. Well played, Gumi.

It says it's part of the "launch celebration", so I'm guessing release will be here shortly.

you're a bad person
I'm sorry, but it needed to be done. I didn't want to be alone in the disappointment of seeing Alchemist Code listed, only for it to be a sticker pack and not the app itself.

But hey, at least it shouldn't be much longer now...right? I mean, the sticker pack is advertised as part of the launch celebration, and you can't celebrate a launch without the app!

I'm a pretty big gundam fan and I've never seen this game before lol looks like a gundam vs game. It's definitly reusing assets from gundam vs gundam next. It's going to be weird controlling an arena brawler with a touch screen but I admire the effort.

I'd rather have a simpler game in the vein of the other Bandai games. And it's weird of them to put out another 3D game, seeing as their other ones are some of the least played ones.

That said I appreciate that they finally do something Gundam related.

FFBE had memory leaks when it was on soft launch (as in when choosing skills spells it took over 20 seconds to choose one). They fixed it to release, so I have hopes that ACode fixes the lag when it is officially released.

Pre-registration available now for The Alchemist Code:

http://alchemistcode.com/

I wonder if I can use these on my already-linked account. I hope so. :/

Edit:

Hmmm, it doesn't sound like we will.

"Pre-reg summons to win various in-game prizes. Prizes won are distributed to all players who download and play the game within a set period from the sate of the game's launch."

Since our accounts are already-created, I doubt we'll be eligible. Shame, I would have like those bonuses, especially the 5* Mianne, but there's no way I'm re-rolling again.

Ouch. Not sure if it's indicative of a launch date, but the pre-registration event runs till Nov. 17th :/ At least they give you a cute little daily game to play to get items in-game :)

Back in the days when we played ffbe in soft launch we also got magitek terra as the pre reg reward :)

Is Mianne top tier at least?

B-C tier, so not really. :/

Oh nice, good to know! Here's hoping the same applies here.

Announced prereg rewards (maybe we get more) are not great. If one completes all daily missions, one get 60 gems. But obviously free is free and I did prereg too.

Wow, the preregistration thing is way higher than I thought. I know it's for rolls and not actual preregisters, but if we assume everyone got ~100 gems on their rolls (I only got 70), that's still 20k preregisters.

Yes, free is always appreciated. I really should start doing the daily missions though, just for the gems. I've basically just been logging in and doing my free pulls when I can, but I'll probably change that.

Let's hope it continues!

On the subject of gacha games, one IP I'm surprised that doesn't have one yet is Fairy Tail. I can imagine a 2.5D beat em' up, with the Fairy Tail cast, each having their signature move. As for variants in the costume design, there's enough of a female cast to have more than enough fanservice banners. There's a nice amount of male cast too, for those interested in that kind of thing. Think of the money it could make.

Pretty sure there was a fairly shitty Fairy Tail gacha game out a year or two ago. While what you suggest is probably the best from a successful gacha game point of view I think a management style game where you're running your own guild and sending mages out on missions and such would be pretty cool. Though not as well suited to a gacha monetisation system I suppose. If Terra Battle 2 has taught me anything is that its not much fun pulling on a gacha when you dont get to see your units.

Uh oh, this was just posted on the Alchemist Code Global Facebook page:

https://www.facebook.com/notes/the-...the-alchemist-code-18-oct-17/301075523708396/

The part that worries me? This quote:

" For our next entry, we will reveal more details on what players can expect as new and different elements in The Alchemist Code from the initial Japanese version of For Whom The Alchemist Exists, so stay tuned!"

Damn it, Gumi! I wonder what "improvements" they'll add to make the game less F2P-friendly. I know they butchered the Global version of PotK, let's hope the same doesn't happen here. :/

Battlejack is 2X XP for the next week, if anyone cares. I almost gave up on it, but it's still my go-to toilet game, and I feel like I've finally been making some decent progress. I'm up to Lv. 53 with a 2800 point party, and I finally cleared the Final Boss on Normal.

I still play King's Raid but I'm about ready to move on. How's Alchemist Code? I wanna try it but I haven't played anything from gumi since they shut down Chain Chronicle so I'm a bit skeptical. How have they been lately?
