I don't want to make this a Pro versus xonex discussion, but I think the Xbox One X feels like a vastly superior system to the pro not only because it's more powerful, but it's more of a complete system in terms of playing 4K Blu-ray movies, enhancing backwards compatible titles, and improving core X1 games from a hardware level without any patches. Microsoft finally got it right with the One X. On the Sony front, they fell short because the upgrade from a standard PS4 that mostly outputs 1080p is not a huge jump to most of the pro games that are mostly operating a 1440p with no other further benefits

I play mostly on my PS4 , have and Xbone but it is used mostly by my kid. When PRO was released one year ago the improvement versus PS4 was notable but not a enought for me to jump to a middle generation console. Saw XboneX days ago on an store and the visuals were impressing BUT compared vs original Xbone, compared vs PRO you find some differences but not a day vs night as the same way you can see vs original Xbone.

So in resume if you are a new user and want to get a great hardware with great price get a PS4 , if you want to jump a middle term console get XboneX if you do not care for exclusives and high price. XboneX is a great peace of hardware , and being honest it looks more like a Sony product than a Microsoft one. I wish success to Xbone since it means will rush PS5 development/announcement.

And that's why as a 1080p 1X user I can tell you it's well worth it to get the 1X. Sell or trade your xbone and the cost is closer to $300, not $500.

My 1X looks amazing on my 1080p set. And the added FPS gain in games is nice as well. Way better frame rates is important too ya know.

You're saying this in a clearly marked Xbox thread, so you are really doing this to yourself. What I don't understand on GAF is why someone would chose to do so in such a thread and then call everyone a fanboy for not agreeing w/ you and how everyone else is wrong, except you and apparently the rest of the planet. You are your own worst enemy.

If I had your opinion, I wouldn't even bother going into the thread in the first place, or just drop my opinion and move on fully expecting the responses you've gotten. Not sure what you're wanting here but most of us are pretty happy w/ it. Clearly. Nothing you say is going to change that.

Finally got a chance to play my X a few hours tonight. Played some path of exile huge difference in loading times and frame rate. Also tried state of decay with my free month of game pass liking the game a lot so far. I'll try gears 4 in the morning just to make sure my X behaves under real load. Was damn impressed did not notice it was even on with just TV volume not once did it spin up like my OG PS4.

Is anyone having any issues with the 5G wifi with the X? I can use a Pro (sitting next to the X) with no problems at all, but the X has major packet loss. It maxes out the download speed, but it's so inconsistent for playing games online. I've hooked it back up to a powerline adapter in the meantime.

Went out of town the day I got my Scorpio, after finally playing it for 2 days I am really impressed. I am also a ps4 pro owner, and to me I see a much bigger difference in gameson the X vs pro. This is just my opinion but Forza 7 vs GT, Forza looks much nicer

I have been struggling, I won a ps4 pro from an evil within 2 contest (custom) but I have an OG xbox one x and got every achievement besides classic mode, I bought a 4k tv recently (TCL 55 inch) and I am waiting to replay it for the improvement in display on the one X, has anyone tried it on the one X? is it a vast improvement?

I asked much earlier in the thread and didnt get a response. Ejecting discs seems to have a faint clicking noise, when inserting the disc it seems just fine... Anyone else notice anything like this? I have a Scorpio edition and would hate to exchange it for a regular edition.

Anybody here playing Battlefront 2 on the XboneX in 4K/HDR? The cutscenes and menus are totally blown out for me and look really bad. I *think* gameplay is working properly, but the HDR slider in the settings doesn't do anything...

Either will work. Main thing is to go into Advanced settings, enable HDR, and then use the system checker there to make sure it shows your TV supporting everything.

If it doesn't show as supporting, try plugging into a different input on the TV. Many HDR sets only have 1 input that actually supports hDR and it's not always the first input.

You do not need to reboot or anything between input swaps.

EW2 runs at 1260p or 1296p on the Pro, while it runs at 1800p on the X1X.

I'm not actually sure if there are any 12 bit panels yet, if there are they'd be quite rare at the moment.

As your has a 10 bit as long as you don't set it to 8 bit you'll get everything you can out of it, I can't think of any reason why you'd have issues setting it at 12 bit but you're not going to gain anything either.

On it's most basic level you'll get smoother colour graduations as you move from 8 bit to 10 bit to 12 bit. These should give you an idea of what the differences are.

I reckon it will drop in price a bit around xmas. They are in stock everywhere so wont be long until we see bundles. Once its 100-150 cheaper it will fly off the shelves and MS have a good chance of getting back in the race then.

The internal drive is actually pretty quick but an SSD should shave off quite a bit of time.

I have had the MS play and charge battery packs since launch and they still hold a 15-20 hour charge in my Elite controller.

The included batteries had to be undercharged...I have always felt that the xbox controllers in general use less power and last longer then the competition.

The difference probably wouldn't be as stark as in the images that I posted in general use. I wouldn't even think about 12 bit at the moment, you would realistically only find 12 bit panels in professional grade studio monitors used by photographers.
