Private property and platforms have the right to self-police. People are allowed to throw you out of their house if you piss them off. That's all Facebook did. They threw these fuckers out of their house.

Free speech does not guarantee your right to a platform. It only keeps you out of prison, and even then there are limits. You can't shout "FIRE!" in a crowded theater. You can't stand up in the middle of Times Square and incite a riot. You can't verbally conspire to commit murder. You can't. You just can't. Freedom of speech is not absolute.

Yes, Facebook can self-police but when they display clear double standards people should call them out for it. As for the First Amendment, it protects unpopular speech and makes no exception for hate speech. You can hate straight white men all day.

Facebook is a powerful tool and over the last year the increase of pages that use random clips of foreign incidents with fake blurbs and subtitles in order to fuel the “get foreigners out of Britain” flame is pretty damaging to a lot of people who believe it all.

The tripe that Britain First have been spouting publicly has gained traction and now they play the martyrs because of getting banned and told to pretty much “fuck up or fuck off”. All the publicity just gets people’s backs up and now means all the racist morons have to fight for their right to be dickheads.
