Octopath Traveller - waiting on my special edition pre-ordered. I haven't bought one since PS2 FF12. The only thing I wish it had was an art book. I love the saturated color painting art in the trailers.
and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus - DOOM has been great on switch looking forward to this. Haven't played one since the one after RTCW(RTCW was my favorite!)
Super Smash Bros Developed by Bandai Namco - Doesn't Hal Labs usually make these? What gives?
Metroid Prime: Renegade - is this 4? I really think the first 3 are needed on the system only played first, and I hate when story games are released that doesn't include access to previous.
Yoshi’s Flipping Island - this looked great. Going to wait on reviews as it looked kinda easy. I,don't want new Kirby levels of ease.
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening 3D - the only Zelda I ever liked! Is this isometric 3d or are they doing full 3rd person 3d world? This was a game boy game. Unexpected very cool. MAYBE THEYRE USING BOTW ENGINE YOU THIEF!

Smash= Namco already worked on Smash for the Wii U
Metroid= Prime 3 was Corruption, so no problems with a sub title
Link's Awakening 3D= chances are that will be just like the Sega classics with 3d effects for the 3DS, not a new game. I guess they won't remade a game for the 3DS from scratch at this moment.
Luigi Mansion= already confirmed for the 3DS, so no big deal if is only for the 3DS. If they show it and more Game Cube games to the Switch, that's another beast.

I wouldn't think they're remaking it "from scratch" per-se, but I imagine IF this is real and it's an actual remake, it's an asset dump, similar to Triforce Heroes. Reusing as many assets as they can from Link Between Worlds in order to get it out with a relatively low development cost.

Yeah, if Link's Awakening 3D happens, it'll be made using Link Between Worlds Assets in the Link Between Worlds engine. You'd already have a fair amount of the enemies and some of the items done.

Fallout 3 has had ONE release. Not many. One. It was released on 360, PS3 and PC in 2008. It has not been re-released on any other systems since that time. Saying it has gotten multiple releases is an absolutely false statement. It has not.

Now if you’re trying to argue about the number of editions Fallout 3 got okay, but that doesn’t really count because each of those editions was being targeted to a different audience. The vanilla edition was targeted at the casual gamer, the bobble head collectors edition at the collector and the GotY edition was targeted at the person who didn’t get the original release. It’s unlikely that one person is going to buy all of those because theyre the same game.

There are quite a few games that have gotten released on multiple gens. As of now Fallout 3 is not one of them.

Skyrim has its original 2011 release playable on PC, 360 and PS3 and the special edition which was released on PS4 and X1 (PC got a free upgrade). That’s two.

In fact the only game off the top of my head that I can think of that got more than two re-releases was the original Halo as it was on OG Xbox, rereleased as the Anniversary edition in 2011 and the MCC.

I agree, with the amendment that I hope none of them are exclusively for the 3DS.

There's no reason smaller teams can't keep porting smaller games to 3DS til 2025 for all I care, but it's just... self-defeating and weird when Nintendo releases games exclusively for 3DS after their next gen console/handheld is already out. Was there any reason for Samus Returns to be exclusive to 3DS? Maybe they see an opportunity to get double purchases with a touched-up port later on, but I think you run into the Tropical Freeze issue then, where your last gen version competes with the current gen one. Basically, unless it's a concept that can only be done on a dual-screen handheld, every game should be cross gen, IMO.

That cuts both ways though. If that picture we have of the next Pokemon is legit, and it is a continuation of the X, Y, Sun, Moon, style, then I see no reason 3DS owners shouldn't get a down-port too.

It’s the one that adds more validity to the leaks for me tbh. Zenimax and Bethesda have been supporting the Switch like crazy. After the success of the Skyrim remaster, a Fallout 3 remaster makes perfect sense.

The octo expansion was announced months ago.
