That's shitty. Trailer feels nothing like the first Predator movie, which still is the blueprint on how to make a predator movie in my opinion.

Kids? Old men talking? Halloween costumes? Jeez.

I wonder if the kid accidentally kills someone when he gets around to fucking with the Plasmacaster.

The trailer looks strange. It doesn't feel cohesive even for a trailer. I'm not a fan of Olivia Munn's acting, but eh. They could have done a lot worse.

Don't Starve and World of Goo in the background at 0:26. Interesting choices... Also, too many reboots now. Taking a series that got a bunch of sequels and making another sequel and marketing it as a ~Reboot~ is the new safety net of Hollywood.

I don't know if this is trying to be the Halloween 3 or the Stranger Things of the Predator franchise. Either way, it looks pretty awful.

Looks trashy.

Then again, trash can be fun sometimes. I will wait for first impressions before judging.

I'm desperately hoping it isnt true, because I love this franchise and to go from Predators to this would be heartbreaking.

But isn't this directed (and presumably written) by Shane Black, who wrote the first one? That guy has an phenomenal track record, I'd give him the benefit of the doubt.

I love Shane black for kiss kiss bang bang and nice guys.. but this trailer is fucking bad. I agree 100% with the guy saying it doesn't feel cohesive.

I don't understand the bit with the kid receiving the suit...

My guess is that it was meant for his dad or mom, but the kid was home alone, so he opened it anyway. There could even be a "I'm sending you something cool in the mail, son" plot point, and then before the real gift arrives, the predator gear shows up.

That's what I'm thinking. Doesn't change the fact that this doesn't look good, and I have no desire to see another Predator movie. Even the second one wasn't very good. Why do they keep making these?

I think this is their attempt at MCU like universe which was already described and in use (mummy, dr.jekyl&hide etc). So no gore, superhero like movies.

Looks different but I'll watch it for Shane Black alone.

They can't keep the setting in the jungle for another movie anyway so I'm glad they are switching things up

not tag worthy
Eh... look predator, Alien,Aliens , terminator and T2 classics of their era. Why the hell when they reboot or pump out sequels they all look bland With no star power. Come on either go big or go home and Hollywood stop rebooting remaking things unless you can do it right.

Having said this I might watch this film but I’m not expecting much from it

Yeah, Kong benefited from having star power. Missed opportunity here.

The joke about if a mother's vagina were a video game, it would be rated E for Everyone had me laughing out loud.

Spiritual successor to the pussy echo joke from the original. :ROFLMAO:

Mayau gets it. This new trailer looks more like a proper Predator movie to me. Not sure what some people are expecting tbh. If this looks bad then explain what you're wanting to see to make it look good. More A-list actors? Not enough foliage? Roger Deakins cinematography?

First trailer looked bad. Second trailer looks much better. Shane Black is awesome. Will watch.

It's co-written by Fred Dekker, who also wrote some of my favorite 80s movies: House, Night of the Creeps, and the Monster Squad

OTOH, he also wrote Robocop 3 and a lot of Enterprise episodes...

Also looks like the Predator is using the thing from Krull

ill say the second trailer wasnt bad but after seeing the spoilers i can see it throughout the trailers and its just not good to me. i mean a good director can make a good movie from a bad script right? im just sick of every moving having to be "bigger and badder" every fucking monster has to be evolved or a hybrid or somethign stupid. the monster itself cant learn cant adapt and become something more it just has to grow 2 extra arms with gattling guns

Shane Black attached to this gives at least some semblance of hope, he has directed and written a couple of good movies, but the trailers look awful, like "trainwreck disaster ending the franchise for good"-awful. Keeping my fingers crossed.

i never get when people say shit like this. he has directed some good movies. but the movies he has done well are a certain genre of black comedy crime movies. it doesnt mean he can do a big blockbusters as people generally didnt like iron man 3. sometimes people need to stay in their lanes. but at the same time if there is no one better for the job eh
