PS3 had the ground breaking best ever multiplayer game to ever grace this fine Earth which released just a year after launch.

Nobody could have ever dreamed just how good Warhawk was going to be.

Men wanted to play Warhawk and Women wanted to do Warhawk.

Warhawk was the game on everyones tongues last gen, it really pushed the barriers.

If you never played Warhawk, you haven't lived.

I remember playing Warhawk and thinking, this, this is the future of gaming.

All hail our Warhawk overlords.

For the first few years of PS3 I mostly just played BC PS2 games and Warhawk. The beautiful thing about Warhawk is how well balanced it is and how there were so many ways to play depending on your mood.

I played mostly Warhawk for the entirety of last gen. It’s really ruined MP for me.

Of course not.
PS3 started from a disaster and in the end outsold the 360 worldwide ending in the 85-90m range. It was also the console where Sony built their WW studios success with great exclusives and where they built their online services starting from zero.
The Xbox One situation can't even be properly called a comeback with their low worldwide sales although they still did a lot to try to improve their situation.

Heck no. The PS3 went from being a complete laughing stock that sat on the shelves for months due to the stupidly high price tag and the famous "PS3 HAS NO GAMES!" meme, to a console with a halfway decent library that Sony managed to turn around by the end of the generation. While Microsoft has undoubtedly shed their image of being anti-consumer as the generation has gone on, it still hasn't done enough to entice people and is getting handily outsold by the PS4, and even the Nintendo Switch slowly but surely. Whichever console is better is a matter of debate, but the PS3 had without a shadow of a doubt made a MUCH bigger turn around then Microsoft's Xbox One.

Also, due to all the polls you create, I might as well dub you "Afro-Pollster", LOL!

PS3 came back and beat the 360 worldwide with MS at their peak. Even the Kinect bump couldn't stop it.

The xb1 is way back behind the PS4's dust. MS hasn't even introduced lots of new franchises like Sony did on the PS3.

Hell no. Xbox One still has a huge problem of not enough exclusives. Japanese developer support is also hugely lacking. PS3 had neither of those problems later in it's life.

Unfortunately, it's not just the polls themselves that I'm taking issue with. Their spammy nature is fairly ordinary, but some of his other conduct has been terrible.

Sony was able to turn the tide and eventually sold as much if not more ps3 than 360 at the end. Xbox one is an improvement now but they're still doing everything to catch up or even compete with the ps4 or even switch. Still this gen isn't over yet.

Formerly always online weaker but more expensive than a PS4 with half the sales Kinect-Box isn’t a turn around.

Hey don't pick on the new guy I'm just here to read the threads its just entertainment for me and sometimes I get some good information on the industry. I know I don't post much but most times its not worth getting involved with some of the discussions people don't want to have constructive conversations and definitely can't admit when they are wrong but I will be more proactive in the future

PS3 turnaround was not better. That system was nearly as bad as it was at the end of its life as it was at launch. I owned the thing from day 1 for $600 even and i'm not gonna blindly defend it. It begin a failure and ended as one.

I hope this comes out right... [vis_name][/vis_name] has a habit of doing that. You get used to it though. Honestly, if [vis_name][/vis_name] wants to inflate their post count then more power to [vis_name][/vis_name]. I'm not gonna hate on [vis_name][/vis_name].

I think the PS3 came out quite well in the end. I am happy that Microsoft is turning things around and I am playing my Xbox One a lot now. There is a noticeable bump in Japanese games getting Xbox releases in the last year so I assume Microsoft did something and I'm grateful for that!

I think Microsoft has set themselves up for the next gen quite well and may be able to win me over due to some of Sony's new issues. Nintendo completely fixed all the issues I had with them so I have faith that Microsoft can too.

I hated the PS3 around 2006-07 but ended up loving it by 2013. The 360 had wonderful Japanese support at first but it dried up and moved to the PS3, PSP and Vita. I kind of suspect that next gen Japanese support will move to the Switch and more games will be multi-plat. If that's the case and I can buy most if not all Japanese games between my Switch and next gen Xbox I'll drop Sony.

It's a toss up for me. Sony did a great job turning the PS3 around while Microsoft has set themselves up to turn around next gen. I'm happy with Microsoft now and very unhappy with Sony. I was very unhappy with the 360 and loved the PS3 by the end of the last gen. Hmm, pretty much a role reversal, ha ha~

The problem with the PS3 was basically just price. Yes, it was hard to program for, but realistically, that just made a headache for programmers, not gamers. And part of the reason it was expensive was Blu-Ray, to push for the adoption of it (over HD-DVD)

The Xbone suffered from price, from lack of games, and from being much weaker. It still suffers from all 3.

This Black Friday, I watched at work (Walmart) while our 100+ PS4s for $199 with Spiderman sold out in 5 minutes. We didn't even have a special for the Xbone, even though MS had dropped the price somewhat (to $229 for their bundles), we didn't even bother to change the price tags.

The Xbox X is much more powerful. But it's only owned by a small fraction of Xbone owners.

ms efforts are only going to show on the next gen. sony really did their best to turn around in the same gen. That's a critical difference.

And MS lost huge this gen. xbox brand was burned big when we see the results worldwide, ps3 never really went downhill this much.
