Bluepoint Games teases it's next title as a "re-envisioning" of an older game

This is why announcements of announcements are stupid. The actual announcement won't be as good as a lot of the things in this thread.

Awesome, we finally getting a good Bubsy remake bois.

Since it's supposed to be more than a remake, a re-envisioning, I suspect Legend of Dragoon. That would make sense, being older and a popular game amongst the rpg fanbase. I don't see how it's Demon's Souls unless it's a lot of additional work and that they're changing a lot (unless they just meant doing something like adding the land of Giants archstone and finishing the ideas there, and perhaps improving bosses). At least for it to be called more than a remake and a "re-envisioning". That sounds like more than what you'd expect them to do for a game that was one PS3 and was functionally a great vision originally.
So I put my bet on Legend of Dragoon. It's a PS1 game after all and would warrant the "re-envisioning" branding (PS2 was remake, PS1 re-envisioning).

Legend of Dragoon is possibly the most generic jrpg to ever exist. It ticks all the trope boxes. And i say that as someone who likes the game.

It aint LoD.

There's no way in hell it's Legend of Dragoon, but if it was I'd pre-order the special edition and take PTO at work to play it on day one.

Reminds me that I haven't finished shadow of the collosus yet. It looked amazing but I forgot how boring it was to actually play.

Well it's definitely not Jumping Flash, so I'm going to go with:

Colony Wars Remastered: PSVR Edition

A man can Dream....

- Could Be Demons Souls, and that would be awesome
- Could be Killzone 2, incredible too but i doubt
- Could be ICO, that would be great too
- Could be A game from the Tenchu franchise, awesome too
- Could be a Silent Hill game, from 1 to 4......incredible
- Could be a game from the Siren Franchise in collaboration with its team (formers employees from the Team Silent), incredible
- Could be Syphon Filter

or

We could hit with the sad reality

Could be Parappa the Rapper.

Corret me if I'm wrong but in a previous interview abiout this I thought they said it was a higher profile game than Shadow of the Colossus?

I don't recall reading about it but I just mention ICO for fun.

Would be nice if its the first Red Dead Redemption.

That wording practically removes Demons Souls from the equation, which makes me very disappointed. Nier badly needs a remake, but it has to be directed or supervised by Yoko Taro. But yes, that would be an amazing game if added / refined more features, with up to date graphics and enhanced gameplay.

Metal Gear again? NOOOO. Rather, Silent Hill :)

Disregarding any clues and ignoring ICO I could see them working on some E or T rated game.
- Ape Escape
- Tomba!
- Dark Cloud
- Jak

Would be a waste of time and effort since you can play the original RDR on Xbox One backward compatibility

I think most people would want Demon Souls to get the SOTC treatment: pretty much the same game but with nice current gen graphics and better performance. I'm not sure a "re-envisioning" with changes to its gameplay and structure would be well received.

But with such a vague description it could basically be anything. As others have suggested, Legend of Dragoon would be awesome. I definitely think that's a franchise with nostalgic value but where people would be open to changes in both gameplay and story (or writing).

That career page mentions low-poly models, so it's likely a PS1/PS2 game. As much as I wish it was Demon's Souls, it's probably not.

My next hope is Jet Moto.

Well, it's gotta be a PS exclusive right? I'd love Silent Hill, but Konami are jackasses and I don't think Sony want to deal with more licensing etc. So there goes MGS too. Most probably giving them one of older big IPs to work with.

I wouldn't mind Arc the Lad make a come back. I don't know if bluepont can do JRPGs though.

If this is trully a remake of Legend of Dragoon ....with the exception of Ghost of Tsushima and The Last of Us II....im gona confess im more interested for this game than any other upcoming games on PS4
