List a pet peeve that you think people should be executed for (not really, of course)

I’m loving all the ones based on driving. People should just not be allowed to drive. It’s too dangerous and people are too stupid.

I had a dog who passed last year who no-bullshit walked right beside me, and would respond to verbal commands. She was the only one I ever trusted to not leash. She was also a Pom who loved everybody, the worst thing she would do is try to lick you to death. I generally agree though, dogs need a leash.

Don't get me wrong, I love animals, but I just think it's the owner's responsibility to manage them. The dog that almost destroyed me was obviously a very sweet (but big) animal.

I see this almost every day. Going into a business that has an in-door and an out-door. You are entering so you use the in-door and then there is a jackass standing inside waiting for you to get out of his way so he can use that same door to leave because you just opened it. Sometimes there will even be a line of people waiting to use the door you opened. As if there is no other door to use at all.

They are so incredibly lazy/entitled whatever you want to call it they would rather wait for you to get out of the way than just reach their fucking hand out and use the other door. On rare occasions they even get mad at you if you take too long to get out of their way...

In moments like that I wish I had the airtank/hammer from No Country For Old Men.

Folks who withdraw cash from a cash machine, then stand in front of it for another minute whilst putting it away rather than getting out of the way for the next person.

People that decide to unload their change at stores instead of going to the bank first or just using a small amount of change at a time or just dump it into those self service check outs where you can easily dump the change. Went to Target and someone payed about $30 of merchandise with just dimes, nickels and pennies. Not even quarters. Held up the line which felt like 10 minutes while the person counted all their change.

On the opposite end the two people ahead of me saw I only one item and let me check out right away. Guess they noticed how frustrated I was. I would have done self check out if it wasn't alcohol.

Walking or driving in front of me just slightly slower than I’d like to be going, forcing me to choose between going at your infuriating pace or going unreasonably fast to pass you.

  • Not being aware of your surroundings and impacting those around you in public areas
  • Over touching, I don't need to be touched to impact me emotionally (My partner can touch me as much as they want though)
  • Reading someone else's SQL scripts drives me insane because it's not formatted the way I work
  • Noisey nervous ticks, I purposely chew on gum or my lip to not have it be audible. My partner taps on things and I have to constantly ask them to stop.

People who stop and stand in doorway/entries. It makes my blood boil when some idiot stop in an entrance way to gawk at what they see, look at phone, or speak to someone.

A Driver not acknowledging when you let them out or through. That shit should be taught in driving school.

Cooking really smelly foods in communal lunch areas. There should be laws against this.

Yes.

Every place I have worked, more or less, over the last 12 years has had staff lounge or staff area for eating/breaks, and some of them are pretty small, cramped spaces without great ventilation. Sometimes you can smell shit that was microwaved the morning before, I swear

Cleaing the your food contianers or plates in the company kitchen sink

lol to be so lucky! At my place people use all of the dishes and just leave them in the sink for someone else to clean later!

I don't know why people bother cleaning it for them. Another guy is always complaining about missing forks. This is why I bring my own shit and don't rely on my coworkers to keep everything in order.

People chewing food with their mouth open. Shit infuriates me.

When abroad I do my best to respect the culture of the country I am in and just ignore it, but when I hear people doing it back home in the UK I lose my shit.

Assholes at the office leaving all their dirty coffee mugs and ceramic/glass water bottles in all the meeting rooms. And if they had a lunch meeting there, the tables are full of crud and crumbs.

Clean the tables since there's afternoon meetings.
